Very friendly staff. The amenities that have opened after the Hurricane are great. Weather was perfect. Great dining out on Sanibel and Green Flash Captiva.

This visit was booked thru HotelsOne/ Expedia on behalf of Seven Seas. I made it perfectly clear in my booking that we did not want to deal with stairs as we are late 70s and have physical limitations; however, they completely ignored that request and booked a second floor unit. When I tried to cancel, they said I was outside the cancellation deadline and they would not refund $2k. So, we decided to stay there and I requested a rate reduction; they waited until after we left to advise-no rate change. During our time at South Seas, especially upon departure, we struggled with carrying baggage and supplies on the stairs, plus we minimized our time enjoying the resort amenities, so we could avoid the stairs. It seems that our communications were routed by HotelsOne thru Eurobookings Customer Support Team and they implied that SouthSeas did not agree to a cancellation or rate reduction, when SouthSeas said it was not their decision, but a decision of HotelsOne. It seems that they like to redirect blame, leaving this customer very angry.

We had a great time during our stay! It was our first time to Captiva Island and it is such a beautiful location. We had such a fun time at the pool going down the water slide. Would also recommend reserving a cabana with access to a fridge and snacks during the day. I am excited to plan our trip back once the water park opens in 2025!

I’m confident I will never be back! We were charged $50 a day resort fees and $80 a day service fees. There were almost no resort amenities and we received no service during our visit. We called the office many times and could not get anyone to answer our call. Dust and noise were constant during the day. The room was not in good shape. The door on the microwave was falling off, the closet doors in the bedroom could not be opened, the shower had only one door so water went everywhere and the AC did not work properly. No one in our group of 17, including 5 boats in the marina, was satisfied with the facilities for what we paid. We had a gathering at the marina with our group and there were no lights. Pitiful!!!

I have stayed at South Seas a few times. I never left a review before so I thought I would do so now. I stayed here pre-hurricane destruction so I know a lot has changed. I will say from the staff to the amenities, this place was amazing. I loved every minute. However.....We stopped going there about 5 years ago to check out something different: Belize. Specifically, Ambergris Caye. I lived in Lee County for almost 8 years so I am very familiar with the area and what it has to offer. I really and truly love Captiva but the wall to wall people, traffic and ridiculous prices have really turned me off. As of today, I have been back to Belize 7 times. I'll likely never bother going to Florida again. The prices are absolutely ridiculous for what you are getting. I just stayed 10 nights at a luxury resort. 1600 square feet, beautiful, very large balcony with direct view of the ocean. 2 bedroom. 2 bath. Paid less than what South Seas is charging for the tiny room overlooking the tennis courts. What a joke.
