Reviews for Carefree Resort & Conference Center
My husband and I frequent the Resturant at the Carefree inn often as we live in Carefree. Excellent food and the dining staff are professional, friendly, and excellent. We always thought it would be fun to spend the evening so last night we did as we were having some remolding at our home. The room was $220 and remodeled recently. I guess the resort is suppose to be a high end spa, resort when completed.. The room was cold, no art, single ply TP, noisy, we stayed in 2052, was awful to say the least. We thought the staff at the front desk was unfriendly, gave horrible directions to our room, was not a pleasant experience at all. We have friends who visit often and we have always recommended Carefree Inn but won't any longer.

Hotel is under renovation, but don't let that stop you from checking it out. The public spaces (lobby, bar, restaurant) are complete and they've done a beautiful job turning this historical gem into a modern retreat. We stayed in a newly renovated room and it was spot on great all around.

This is the 3rd time that we have had a weekend retreat at this resort. The food and the staff were great, good temperature and lighting in the banquet rooms. Would definitely return for another retreat or event at the Carefree resort. I did like the renovations I did see in the lobby and lounge.

We arrived here after a long journey from San Diego by coach. Our tour Manager was not happy about the fact that our company had not been advised about the building work. We were only staying one night and ate out so cannot give a great deal of detail. However the room we had was superb with a very modern walk in shower and the bedroom was large and comfortable. The following morning we had a very good breakfast which though not cheep was very nice with lots of nice fresh fruit. I would stay here again, we just had time to take a few pictures of the Cacti out in the gardens. Also a lovely looking outdoor pool which i would have loved to have had a swim in.

My husband and I went to carefree resort for Christmas eve. We had been to hotel a number of times. This visit was a total disaster from the moment we arrived. The place had been painted all white as well as white furniture. The beautiful western picture in dining room was gone. That picture is something that made the resort warm and inviting. This place is not for all ages anymore. This is geared for young people. The owner told me it was.good he didn't have any memories of the painting .The new owners.havent a clue that they have ruined a place that was nostalgic to many people. Have New menu as well .Not a plus very disappointed. Won't be Returning anymore.
