Old California setting + modern hospitality touches
What a beautiful hillside location, part oak forest and part vineyard. Wonderful attentive staff. Spacious suite, comfortable bed, cozy robe and slippers to use. We came for a September wedding, and noticed a few more dogs and preschoolers than we expected. Very accommodating if that's who you travel with. Not sure why I found it so charming to have a bottle filler by the valet stand, but it sure was handy to know where to get fresh filtered water at all times!

Unbelieveable Restaraunt Experience
Briana, was our Hostess at the Lodge at Carmel Valley Ranch. She couldn't have been nicer. Seated us promptly and with a great smile. She cared about our allergies and dietary restrictions and made sure we were taken care of. We felt very well taken care of by Briana. thank you!

Beautiful environment that was comfortable and relaxing.
Beautiful setting located in a terrain consisting of an interlocking mosaic of chaparral and California oak woodland. The local trails provide amazing views. Some rooms feel like small condos. Wild deer and turkeys frequently visited the area around our room. Shuttle service is easy and convenient. The Loge restaurant menu needs a little more variety. Pool and spa at the lodge are first class. Staff was friendly and helpful. I'm not interested in golf but I think golfers would love this place. The fitness center was four stars. They board a variety of farm animals at the corral located at the property's upper elevation. I appreciated the enthusiasm of the staff working at the corral.

Don't recommend.
Terrible experience two times in a row. Non-working shower. No hot water, stinky shower, foam like substance on the floor, "engineering" claims to fix but doesn't. Finally moved rooms. Super stressful. Don't recommend.

Great rooms with large patios and fireplaces.
A lovely resort with different sized rooms overlooking a golf course and hills. Rooms are large with refrigerators, ILLY coffee maker, great bath tub and separate shower. Large swimming pool and hot tub. Nice restaurant albeit pricey. Complimentary shuttle from lodge to rooms, golf course, pool, etc.
