Five star to zero in two years
Our first stay here was breathtaking; our second was a total disaster. We were tucked into a "tree view" room that was actually a privacy-free view of a parking lot. Day 1: The front desk became defensive when we asked for a move, promised a 5-minute callback, and then ghosted us. I had to call twice just to be told no rooms were available due to "leaky roofs." Day 2: Management promised a new room by 4 PM, only to call at 4ish PM to offer a downgrade since the other room they promised were "leaky" unavailable. Unless this resort has "magical leaks" that appear only when guests request a move, the excuses were blatant and bizarre. We spent our vacation battling a staff that simply didn’t care. Don't waste your peace and joy here—confirm your view before booking or, better yet, stay elsewhere. We won’t be back

Beautiful hotel with amazing views
We went to Carmel Valley Ranch for our baby-moon. It was a beautiful place with amazing views. The room was clean and it was a great fit for the both of us and our dog. Unfortunately, it was rained out during our stay and we couldnt try some of the experiences, but we will plan a trip back.

Beautiful property with wonderful hikes. Pool & hot tub were great and well maintained. Restaurant and wait staff were amazing. And, rooms were roomy and very nice.

Overall nice
I was disappointed with how much I spent to book this property, and then found out that all the spa facilities were closed for renovations. That was the main reason I booked this property. Otherwise, this would've been a nice property.

Feels like family
We had a fantastic time. Especially at eh Valley Kitchen where Savanah and Carly made us feel so special with a gluten free meal specially prepared for my wife! Thanks Chef Joe and Chef Chris. The staff at the entire property was so friendly. I wish we had more time to enjoy all the activities offered.
