service was very good and rooms very quite large and comfortable with a large and nice balcony. Nice walking opportunities around. 5 minutes drive to Cascais city center. Meeting room was also large and had nice view and light. Feels good overall..

This is the second time we have visited Martinhal (also went to Sagres last year) and we really enjoyed it. Admittedly a different type of holiday from what we used to do pre-kids but if you want an *actual* holiday when you have very young children, we honestly feel you can't go wrong with Martinhal. Particular highlights were the spa, the private yoga classes, the villa we stayed in (although it doesn't quite have the sun terrace/sunbathing area like the ones in Sagres unfortunately), and the kids club. We have a little toddler who isn't into kids clubs and isn't used to nursery settings but the staff here were faultless. They were totally flexible about letting him come and try it out which was very much appreciated and showed a real understanding of the situation - he got on particularly well with Alex, Johnny & Julia - but all staff around the resort are hugely empathetic to children. We loved how quiet the resort was in September - so easy to find space, a lounger, make the most of the facilities. There are a few comments about food on here and no, admittedly it's not world-class, but we didn't mind this much. You can also go out to eat in Cascais and we especially loved the relaxed vibe of the Bar Do Guincho! The final icing on the cake was I left some items in a rush to leave / pack up and Martinhal are posting them back to me for free. All in all - a hugely empathetic company for those travelling with kids and one I continue to recommend to my friends!

We stayed at the Cascais resort for a long weekend in September. The resort is spotlessly clean and from.the moment we arrived staff are on hand to make life easy. We used the creche once for our 17 month old twins and managed a relaxing spa! Over a few days it is possible to settle into a relaxing rhythm here. The resort was not crowded in September which was great. The children's playground and creche are in excellent condition. I woulld recommend hiring a car if here for a week so that you don't have to rely entirely on the restaurant food and drinks which is quite pricey over a few days. But the standard is great and the staff all on hand to help. Breakfasts were a highlight! There is a lovely market in cascais on a saturday with a seafood restaurant and lovely bars etc if you want something more authentic and Portuguese whilst here.

beautiful hotel, rooms comfortable and clean. Unfortunately a lot of noise during the night caused by the many children in the hotel. babies crying during the night and in the early morning. Also in the restaurant quiet breakfast wasn,t possible

Fantastic place, totally designed for families. Staff were fantastic and would thoroughly recommend it. Only criticism would be that the restaurant food, although not bad, it wasn't up to its price tag. Great place
