We stayed here in December, 2012, right after the hotel first opened. It was fabulous then and it is still equally fabulous. The property is meticulously maintained. All the staff could not be more friendly and accommodating. We dined at Bar Visconti, Pazzia, and Tosca, as well as having breakfast each morning. All our meals were excellent. At breakfast we usually ordered from the menu, but there were ample choices at the buffet. My wife used the Essere Spa and was very pleased. The disappointment was not being permitted to partake of the activities listed in their "Events" section of the website. We stayed for five nights and in preparing for the trip we looked at all the activities listed. We decided on two, but had spent some time considering two others (Chianti wine tour and a watercolor class). The first night when we went to participate in the wine tasting, we were told by the Resort Manager that those activities were available only to owners of property on the estate. I was a little embarrassed thinking I didn't read the website carefully, but I reviewed it after we were turned away and there is nothing to indicate that those activities are not available to hotel guests. I fully understand reserving events for owners. I have absolutely no problem with that, I would appreciate it myself as an owner. My issue is that nowhere on the website does it say those events are exclusive to owners. If it did state that fact, I obviously would never had made plans nor considered some of the other events listed. I have written to them about this, and received no response so I don't know if they are going to post this restriction when they reopen next year. Just know if you are a hotel guest you cannot participate in any of the activities listed in the "Events" section of the website.

We recently spent four nights at this amazing place. We stayed in a suite and loved the convenience of location. We ate at Tosca for dinner three times, obviously it was that good and yummy. The amount of food that was served on top of what we ordered was amazing, including the bread. Out of the many amuse-bouche that we were served, one was not my favorite, so the chef substituted with a special prawn appetizer that we had before and loved. Hoping they put it on the regular menu. There was also pre-desserts and post desserts that they had us try. For the main dishes, my husband loved the Black Cod and ordered it twice. I had the beef once as did he and we both felt it was tender and tasty. The service was impeccable. and the waitstaff was friendly and knowledgeable. Now about the hotel, the concierge service was fabulous with directions, reservations and advice. They always had a smile on their faces and were more than willing to go above and beyond, The décor made us feel as if we were in the castle, and the views were spectacular. Can not wait to return. Everyone that worked there from the housekeeping to the valet to the front desk to the bar made us feel special .

We spent 3 nights at Castello and loved it. Staff were lovely, food is awesome, stunning views out over the valleys. Gym is well equipped (though missing an erg rowing machine). Plenty to do on property. My kids went truffle hunting with a guide and a four month old "truffle puppy" which they loved. Great wineries within short drives.

We spent three amazing nights at Castello di Casole and it was everything we could have dreamed of. The views, the accommodations, the food, and the customer service just blew us away. From the moment we arrived we felt so relaxed -- we were greeted by staff and had a delicious bottle of wine waiting in the room for us. The suite was huge, the shower luxurious, and the bed so comfortable. We slept like logs while here! You could spend hours just sitting on the terrace looking at the views and the sunset rivals some of the best I've ever seen in Santorini. The pool is stunning, plus pleasantly heated so it was enjoyable to just lounge around with a glass of wine. The continental breakfast was delicious and the variety of foods was quite ample. We ate dinner one night at the pizza place, which was probably our favorite! Roberto was a delight. We also ate in the bar one night and aside from delicious food, we also enjoyed the ambiance and the waiters. The hotel is situated in a perfect spot in Tuscany if you want to tour the Chianti region. We rented a car one day and found it pretty easy to get around. Naturally the hotel helped us arrange a rental car, which was so kind of them. I cannot say enough good things about the staff. Everyone we encountered greeted us with a smile and pleasant conversation, and they were all more than happy to offer suggestions of places to go or things to see. I've stayed at luxurious hotels before and if the service isn't there, it doesn't really matter how nice the place is. Casole makes you feel welcome and cared for, which is all you want when visiting the Italian countryside. We'll be back next summer and I absolutely cannot wait!

Cannot say enough about Castello Di Casole. First, the best service you will ever have at any resort in the world. U believable how, friend, accommodating and helpful everyone was. The vistas -- we miss them everyday. Right out of a Hollywood set. The food absolutely delicious and the room was huge. The bathroom the size of a NYC apartment. And Anastasia in the spa gives the BEST massage. Just a wonderful experience.
