Unfortunately we found ourselves at The Bohemian Hotel escaping hurricane Irma. As we live just north of Miami, we drove up to Celebration one night before we would have a mandatory evacuation, which we knew was coming. The hotel is a small property kept up fairly well. The room (we had a standard room) was small with much more large furniture than I thought was necessary. There is a pool on the property. It's difficult for me to have an opinion on the food, since they stopped serving from their menu and had buffet meals prior to Irma's arrival. What I can say is the buffet food was rather poor. But again, the hurricane was either on its way or was there. I'm sure some people couldn't get to work. The town of Celebration is very "Disneyesque". That's something you either like or don't. The town itself is situated closer to Kissimmee than Orlando. If you're thinking of going there for the Theme Parks you probably could stay closer. It was difficult time, everyone was trying their best to make things seem better. I give them a nod for that.

My family of 4 stayed for 2 nights on our return to our home in Miami after Hurricane Irma. This stay was 4 days after the storm had passed Orlando, and we noticed mostly tree damage, but everything at the hotel was operational. The hotel is attractive enough and the valet and front desk staff were pleasant. The rooms are ok, although a bit dated, especially the bathrooms. On the first morning after our arrival, we had breakfast a bit late, which caused us to not leave our 2 rooms until after 12 noon. I went to the front desk to notify them that we were leaving, and knew we were a bit late, and to please make sure that housekeeping would not forget to make up our rooms. The young man, quite pleasant, told us to not worry as we were stay overs and that staff was busy due to the hotel being full, so stay overs would be done later than check outs. You guessed it: we returned at 10pm, exhausted, ready for showers and bed, and our rooms were not touched. They had called us twice during the day to tell us that their system wasn't working properly so we needed to stop by the front desk so they could swipe our credit card again. THAT they didn't forget! The next day, we went to breakfast and informed front desk that we would be checking out about 45 minutes past normal 11am check out time, but it was ok due to our Marriott level. We returned to our rooms at 10:40 am and they had already deactivated our room keys. My husband went down to the front desk while I stayed in the hallway with the rest of my family. Three housekeeping staff walked by us and not once did they say hello or ask if they could help. My husband comes back with a new key and it still did not work. We had to stop a housekeeping supervisor who was walking by and wait for her to contact the front desk to ensure it was ok to let us in! Everything we encountered during our 2 nights was explained with "we're full and had a hurricane". Yes, but if you're not ready to open, don't, or offer reduced rates or extra Marriott points. Not impressed!

Fantastic job by the hotel and the entire staff during our recent stay as Hurricane Irma passed through Florida. Our home is in Fort Lauderdale, so we sought safer grounds further north and selected the Bohemian Hotel as our base camp for 4 nights during the storm. The hotel staff couldn't have been more accommodating and professional through this difficult time and made us feel safe, secure and welcomed throughout the stay. They handled a challenging and sometimes chaotic situation as well as any hotel could have hoped. And, to top things off, when we checked out I left a backpack in the lobby containing my passports, iPad, and over $900 in cash. When I returned to Fort Lauderdale and realized what I'd done, I gave them a call and it was promptly mailed back to me within a few days with ALL of its contents untouched. Not only is the hotel staff efficient, but they are also very honest and ethical! Thank you again for all you did. We look forward to coming back again for another stay under better circumstances!

Having just had a terrible 3 nights at a Hilton hotel this was an absolute delight. The manager & all staff were a delight and we cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. Whilste there it was one of our daughters birthday that we just mentioned in passing, a birthday cake appeared they must have seen the cards. Customer service, attention to detail, location all superb ! Big thanks. Valerie Dallaire an absolute credit to Marriott. (Steve and Jo, Manchester uk )

This pet friendly hotel is located in a town imagined by Walt Disney and brought to reality by The Walt Disney Company. As a Marriott rewards member, I love staying at the Autograph Collection Hotels because I find the standards for customer care and management to be consistently high. The atmosphere is amazing. We came here to escape the wrath of Hurricane Irma as we live in a building that is Oceanfront AND intracoastal on the other side. It's a very unsafe place to be during a storm surge. When we arrived for check-in, we were informed that the pet fees were waived in light of the coming weather (so considerate). Three days before Irma's arrival, the hotel provided an advisory notice of management's continued monitoring of the weather and listed their precautionary and security measures to "provide a safe environment". Another consideration we were informed of was: the in-house restaurant being converted to a lounge on Sunday morning and seating made as "come and go". An all day buffet will be provided through Monday to accommodate for the higher demands with limited staffing. I feel safe and cared for, here. There are a lot of people with pets seeking safety in a sturdy building and my little dog is feeling stress-free. We will most certainly be affected by the weather, but feel that we will be well informed of coming dangers and directed to safety if need be. I have a heightened sense that the Hotel is well prepared and ready to provide the best care regarding the safety of their human and non-human guests during this time of emergency. If there were no emergency, I'd be spouting off about the decor which is amazing! The gallery of Arts is fantastic. American Indian themed art and architecture is worthy of "best of the best" reviews. The bedding, the accommodations, the considerations for needs... it's quite wonderful. The in-room dining we had was so FAST, HOT, cooked to order and DELICIOUS. We were blown away by the combination of all three elements... it's extraordinary to get the trifecta. Again, I felt it was important to create this review as we are here seeking refuge and I have no idea what we will be returning to when we return to Miami Beach. I don't want to leave!
