Called in at 6:30 - eight of us were to dine together. We left at 9:35pm after a two course meal that should have been done and dusted by 8pm. There is clearly something wrong with the kitchen or the management, or both. With starters of either soup or salad and mains of chicken, fish and burgers, I was very disappointed to be kept waiting so long. One burger was returned inadequately cooked. Mine was not the way I wanted it but I was too tired to ask for it to be cooked some more (I did want to get to bed before midnight). Service was modestly friendly but this was not a good experience.

Located in the heart of Celebration, this hotel (affiliated with Marriott) is a real Gem. The staff and the GM really seem to give a damn (unusual). They work hard to fix issues, they are kind and polite. Right on a beautiful little lake (rumor has it that 2 alligators call it home) where the sunrise reflections are sensational. Great walking town with lots of wonderful restaurants.

My company hosted an event here in one of the banquet rooms. We fell short on our expected room attrition which was absolutely our fault. We did however make up for being short on rooms by ordering well over our minimum expected for food. Even with this we still were treated as if we didn't fulfill our contract and felt we were treated like second class citizens by the staff. We never received any rewards points for the 10 rooms that we paid for ourselves and were completely ignored when we asked for them. We had a similar event at the LAX Marriott and were treated 100x better. The door to the meeting room made a loud noise every time it shut and no one ever attempted to fix it.

This a beautifully quaint hotel, with a few annoying quirks. The décor was pleasing, even though I am not sure what it was. It is an odd mix of Indian and Florida traditional, I suppose. The room was comfortable and clean. A few points about the room: 1. Refrigerator is not standard issue. I overheard it is an extra $25 per night for a refrigerator. No microwave oven either. That was an inconvenience. 2. The rooms all have small balconies. There are two lights on the balconies. BUT, this is the biggie, the lights on the balconies on the front side of the hotel CANNOT BE TURNED OFF. In order to avoid your room being flooded with light at night, you must sleep with the door and curtains completely closed. If you enjoy fresh air at night and, like me, like to have the morning sun come into your room, DO NOT get a room on the front of the hotel. The lights on the balconies facing the lake can be turned off. 3. The lighting in the bathroom is very dim. There is a make-up mirror but no light. 4. One - just one - bar of soap for both the sink and the shower. Also, first night did not get the little complimentary shampoo and conditioner bottles. The service was a bit lacking. My lunch (just a salad) took forever to be delivered to the table and the bartender ignored us for long stretches of time. I cannot say that the hotel is worth the steep price. Finally, I couldn't help but chuckle at another commenter saying, "Celebration was designed to create a "nirvana" in Orlando. It's almost creepy and weird ..." My girlfriend used those same words to describe the general area. It is a little weird. I felt like we were in a sci-fi movie.

The hotel was disappointing, the room overlooked the lake but had a palm tree placed in front of it. The balcony was small. The room and bathroom were clean and adequate but the weekly rate it should have been a lot more comfortable and plush. The service in the restaurant for breakfast was an absolute disaster. Our orders for breakfast were always given clearly but it never once came together, tea without milk, not made with boiling water!!! Toast arrived ten minutes before butter and marmalade, and so it went on every day until we gave up and just had a bowl of fruit, they ran out of yoghurt, breakfast was included but we ate out towards the end of the week, it was just too stressful.
