Went for a vacation, and the place was incredible. They went above and beyond to accommodate us almost to the point of being over the top of the service in a good way.

One of, if not, the best hotel experiences anywhere. Everything was so well done - service, accommodations, food… Patrick did an outstanding job assisting us checking in and out

We were celebrating our 42nd wedding anniversary. We had honeymooned in Charleston at the Battery Carriage House and Kiawah when there was only one inn . We “splurged” for our anniversary and went to the “best hotel” in Charleston. We were greeted by Bessis, our bellman. He was so inviting, friendly, and knowledgable. He took care of us the entire time and became a true friend. Our contact , check in person at the front desk was Michaela who was endearing and so helpful. We were given welcoming glasses of Champaign. She was also our contact person for our stay and always ready to help. Aziya was our server at the Perch and presented us with a lovely dessert for our 42nd anniversary. He was friendly and delightful ! This was a once in a lifetime anniversary vacation for us. We heard lots of accolades about the owners, the Navarros, such a great tribute. They spoke about their hotel vision, their love of Charleston, and how they are constantly giving back to the community. We will hopefully be back. Thank you for a great anniversary visit! Dear Manager, I wanted to take a moment to personally recognize Bessie, one of your doormen at The Charleston Place, and let you know what a wonderful impression he made on us during our stay. Bessie was always there with a warm smile, a kind word, and a genuine willingness to help. He was incredibly accommodating and consistently went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and taken care of. One small gesture that really stood out to us was when he offered to reheat the pizza we had purchased earlier in the day. It was such a thoughtful and unexpected thing to do. While it may seem like a small gesture, it demonstrated the kind of genuine hospitality that makes a guest feel truly welcomed. Bessie represents the very best of customer service. His friendliness, kindness, and attention to guests did not go unnoticed, and he truly made our experience at The Charleston Place even more enjoyable. I hope you will take a moment to recognize Bessie for the outstanding job he does. Employees like him are what make a hotel special, and The Charleston Place is very fortunate to have him. Thank you for having such wonderful staff and for creating such a welcoming experience for your guests. Warmest regards,

I traveled with my family (husband, and two children ages 2 and 4) on a Luxury Link auction package to Charleston Place in August. True good service is making travel effortless for the visitor, and Charleston Place delivered. There was no problem in bringing our children. We arrived about an hour before official check-in, but our room was ready and keys were given. Concierge had pre-printed directions to many of the sites. Finally, our Luxury Link credits for spa and dinner was automatically applied at check-out, so the check-out sheet that I received the morning of departure already had the correct amount that needed to be charged. Effortless! The Club floor included an expanded continental buffet breakfast, as well as drinks and finger foods throughout most of the day. This was very convenient and the breakfast and evening hors d'oeuvres were particularly extensive. What makes Charleston Place stand out from myriad other places to stay in Charleston - many more historic or quaint or intimate - is the amenities offered. The pool with surrounding deck and kiddie pool is a very pleasant spot. The spa treatments were wonderful and very professional. Dinner at Charleston Grill was our favorite meal of the trip. The flavors were complex and fresh - this is not your typical fried and heavy Southern cuisine. I can see Charleston Place appealing to business travelers, couples needing pampering, families with older children, and yes, families with young children. All in all, a service-oriented hotel in a wonderful location with superior amenities and appealing to many different types of travelers.
