The Charleston Place

My two daughters and I have visited The Charleston Place three times over the past 2½ months, and each stay has been more exceptional than the last. What began as a hotel stay has truly felt like coming home. We have visited during a season filled with celebrations, transitions, and exciting life changes, and the team at The Charleston Place has consistently gone above and beyond to make every moment special. The level of genuine hospitality here is something increasingly rare—and it is entirely because of the incredible people who work there. The Club Lounge team deserves special recognition. Mickey, Teresa, and Sandy welcomed us with such warmth, kindness, and attentiveness that we looked forward to seeing them each day. They made us feel less like guests and more like family. The bell staff, especially Ben and Bessis, were always friendly, professional, and eager to help. Their warm greetings and thoughtful assistance set the tone for every arrival and departure. The pool team is absolutely outstanding. Brandon, Jordan, and Sid provided exceptional service with positive attitudes and genuine care, while Elise and Emily at the Pool Concierge made every pool day seamless and relaxing. Their attention to detail and hospitality elevated the entire experience. We also spent memorable evenings at the Thoroughbred Club, where Cassandra and Jessie delivered impeccable service. Their friendliness, professionalism, and ability to make every guest feel welcome made each visit feel special. Luxury properties can have beautiful rooms and amenities, but what truly sets The Charleston Place apart is its people. Every person we encountered treated us with such warmth, generosity, and sincerity that we found ourselves planning our next visit before the current one had even ended. Thank you to everyone at The Charleston Place for creating such unforgettable experiences for our family. We cannot wait to return.

Traveled for business and this hotel is absolutely beautiful. My room was clean, comfortable, and complete with a steamer (I was excited about this as it is a million times better than ironing!) The staff was extremely polite, friendly, and helpful. I am so grateful for such a wonderful experience and would like to return next time for leisure as it seems like a beautiful area to explore with a rich history.

My husband and I are currently staying here in Room 729, and even in the short time we’ve been here, we’ve experienced nothing but exceptional service. From the complimentary biscuits to the thoughtful notes left on the desk in our room, every detail has made us feel welcome. What stood out the most was how quickly someone responded when our air conditioning stopped working. The room became very hot while we were unpacking, but an employee named Cody arrived promptly and had the AC fixed within five minutes and was super kind and helpful with answering questions we had while staying in Charleston. The ac was blowing cool air again almost immediately. The only minor issue we’ve experienced was that housekeeping did not bring the hangers I requested, but that was not a significant problem. The Charleston Place will always be our family’s first choice whenever we travel. Everyone here has been incredibly kind, professional, and welcoming. I would highly recommend staying here.

Rooms are beautiful, the club level lounge staff are wonderful. Sandy and Ronald and Theresa are outstanding. John at the valet stand that took my bags to my room is wonderful

The accommodations and hospitality were stand out. The dining, atmosphere, service and facilities were all first rate. Having to go off-site for the Spa experience due to the remodel was the only negative. Overall, an excellent experience.
