Lovely hotel with an amazing staff. The hotel is updated but with old southern charm. The staff is beyond hospitable, the location is fantastic and the rooms were great. Ben Edwards (bellman) and Joe (front desk) were both very helpful and kind. 10/10 experience would highly recommend.

Professionalism and top of the line guest service
My wife and I had the best hotel experience of our life We stayed at the 4 Seasons in Hawaii in April but the kindness, attention to detail, and professionalism here at The Charleston Place is bar none—the best Special thanks to Kate, Sandy, and Cassandra

Disappointed we didn’t get club room that was reserved and not told.
The staff were outstanding so warm and welcoming. Unfortunately we were to be in club room but due water damage they put us on the 2 floor with fans running. We should have told us upon arrival and not charged us the high price for a room we didn’t get and having to deal with running fans and electrical cords. The staff Sandy on the 4th floor made our stay nice. Our bell hop who got the our luggage upon arrival and leaving was absolutely fantastic. I wish I had written his name down. Elliot, valet parking with TripAdvisor was friendly and so careful with our car and put water in the car for our trip.

Amazing Charleston Place Hotel experience
Kevin was very knowledgeable and warm as a chauffeur. He graciously helped us with our many suitcases and taught us about the area in a warm manner.

I traveled with my family (husband, and two children ages 2 and 4) on a Luxury Link auction package to Charleston Place in August. True good service is making travel effortless for the visitor, and Charleston Place delivered. There was no problem in bringing our children. We arrived about an hour before official check-in, but our room was ready and keys were given. Concierge had pre-printed directions to many of the sites. Finally, our Luxury Link credits for spa and dinner was automatically applied at check-out, so the check-out sheet that I received the morning of departure already had the correct amount that needed to be charged. Effortless! The Club floor included an expanded continental buffet breakfast, as well as drinks and finger foods throughout most of the day. This was very convenient and the breakfast and evening hors d'oeuvres were particularly extensive. What makes Charleston Place stand out from myriad other places to stay in Charleston - many more historic or quaint or intimate - is the amenities offered. The pool with surrounding deck and kiddie pool is a very pleasant spot. The spa treatments were wonderful and very professional. Dinner at Charleston Grill was our favorite meal of the trip. The flavors were complex and fresh - this is not your typical fried and heavy Southern cuisine. I can see Charleston Place appealing to business travelers, couples needing pampering, families with older children, and yes, families with young children. All in all, a service-oriented hotel in a wonderful location with superior amenities and appealing to many different types of travelers.
