The place to stay in Charleston. Wonderfully located walking distance from everything. A historic building with well appointed rooms, salons, bar and restaurant. Very classy and a real pleasure, as it should seeing it’s a R&C listed establishment

My husband and I traveled to Charleston for 5 nights and stayed at the Planters Inn. I decided to upgrade the room about a week before our trip; when we arrived, our room was upgraded even further and we were in a very large suite for our stay. The huge bathroom was especially wonderful! All the staff at Planters Inn were so friendly - from the bell staff , to the front desk staff, to the housekeeping staff. We did eat at Peninsula Grill one night and it was a terrific meal and experience. The coconut cake was to die for! We also loved how the parlor room always had coffee and teas out ( and sometimes snacks!). And the location of the hotel is perfect - we could walk everywhere. I would certainly recommend staying at the Planters Inn
