My daughter and I had an absolutely magical stay at the Wentworth Mansion. From our initial phone conversation with Bryan, followed by a knowledgeable and helpful greeting from Ryder to the fabulous host for the evening reception who knew everything about the hotel to the kind woman on the night shift front desk that let us explore. Absolutely every single member of the Wentworth hospitality team was outstanding and I only wish I had written down all of their names. This was one of the most memorable stays we have ever had in any state or country. I would give it more than 5 stars if possible. Well done!!

Wentworth Mansion rates 5 stars in every category. Our room was spacious, very attractive and up-to-date. The restaurant, Circa 1886, was good for both breakfast and dinner. The mansion is very appealing; beautifully appointed and the architecture and elements such as the mosaic floors are really special. At the top level there is a short spiral staircase to the cupola from which you can look out across Charleston in all directions. Really interesting. There are numerous guest amenities such as afternoon offerings of wine, spirits and charcuterie. Saving the best for last: the staff is gracious, interested and attentive. Nice people.

We booked our anniversary trip at the Wentworth and it was fabulous. They made us feel special the minute we walked through the door. In addition the front desk made dinner reservations for us at the Circa 1886 restaurant, which we loved, and they also gave us many excellent recommendations for lunch Wentworth Mansion is beautiful with a craftsmanship and elegance that can not be replicated in modern hotels and resorts. We stayed in the Grand Mansion Suite which was absolutely stunning . In the past we have also stayed in Suite 9 and it is beautiful as well . Housekeeping was excellent and every member of the Wentworth Mansion staff we encountered were friendly, professional and willing to help us in anyway possible including taking photos of us for our anniversary. Breakfast which is included with the stay was at Circa 1886, just across the parking lot from Wentworth Mansion, was a real treat especially the croissants that were served with breakfast . Wentworth Mansion is a wonderful place to visit anytime but I can’t think of a better place to celebrate special occasions

Wentworth Mansion has been a bucket list hotel for me, and we had an incredible stay! As one would expect, all aspects were really perfect. We were able to snag an incredible points rate through Hilton which made the stay an unbelievable value. Booking was easy, and then all communication in advance came directly from the hotel's concierge email address and was informative and helpful. Check-in included a tour of the mansion and review of the amenities. All of the staff were perfectly attentive and helpful, and we really enjoyed talking to them. We had a snow storm during our stay, and they handled it all very well. I found that they did a great job informing of all you need to know about various times for breakfast, evening reception, etc. We had booked an East Wing room -- the most basic room -- and were upgraded to a Mansion Room due to my Hilton status. As far as other Diamond perks go, the concierge put it this way: what you normally get as extras, we include for everyone. Complimentary items included: in-room stocked mini-fridge (Coke, DC, water, sparkling water), cooked-to-order breakfast at Circa 1886 restaurant, evening hors d'oeuvres and wine, morning pastries and coffee (as well as the breakfast), complimentary valet parking. The room was lovely and included a working gas fireplace, in-room coffee/espresso, stocked mini-fridge, separate jetted tub and shower, L'Occitane bath products, robes, etc. It was beautiful and functional and surprisingly quiet. We spent a lot of time by the fire reading. Turn down service included a card that reviewed the forecast both in Charleston and at our home location, which was a nice touch. There are also several spaces through the mansion that a great to sit and talk or read. The TV in the room had tons of channels and also allowed for mirroring from person devices for streaming. Breakfast we delicious, as was expected due to the strong ratings of Circa 1886 restaurant. They are open only for guests of the hotel at breakfast. Service was lovely and included pastries, fruit, and choice of entree. Standard drinks and coffee were complimentary with additional cost for espresso or alcohol. I cannot recommend Wentworth Mansion more highly! We hope to experience a stay here again one day.

My husband and I stayed at the Wenworth for 3 nights at the very end of the year. We have been to Charleston before and stayed at some of the bigger hotels, but none come close to the experience of staying at the Wentworth. We had a fantastic experience, all of the staff was wonderful and very helpful. We really enjoyed the charm and history of the property. Very walkable too, we only took an Uber one day to a restaurant that was a bit out of walking distance. Our room was serviced everyday when we were out and about, and we recieved turndown service each night, complete with a weather forecast for the next day and chocolates. Breakfast at Circa 1886 was wonderful, quick service and delicious food. Be sure to make a dinner reservation there too! We also enjoyed happy hour each evening with tasty appetizers. Don't forget to go up to the rooftop for the best views of Charleston! Keep in mind, this is a historic property so it does creak at times. It did not hinder our stay at all, but at times you can hear people walking in the room above you. We will absolutely be coming back in the future.

“I want to tell you that my wife and I had a fantastic vacation at the Wentworth Mansion in Charleston, S.C. The mansion was an unbelievable pleasure. The room was exquisite, the view breathtaking. The service could not have been better. The dinner at Circa 1886 was all we could have asked for to celebrate our anniversary. The little extra touches made it an evening we will not forget.”
