Wentworth Mansion

Wentworth Mansion was the perfect place for our honeymoon!! We loved every moment of our experience at the mansion. It is elegant, romantic, charming, and comfortable. The extra touch of daily amenities like coffee and pastries in the parlor with classical music in the background added a touch of class and pleasure to our daily routines. The location is great. We walked the few blocks to King Street and the Market daily with ease. The staff was helpful and friendly -- ready to serve us at any time. We WILL be going back to Wentworth Mansion! And the convenience of Circa 1886 restaurant, along with their delicious food options, is a tremendous bonus!

Recently, my wife and I took a short break to So Carolina.. and thought, why pick the usual hotel accommodations.. (as we were in Charleston.. maybe something a bit more traditional?) We chose the Wentworth Mansion.. (thinking an old southern home may be just the thing). While the mansion did not disappoint, the real plus was the staff. Innkeeper (Lisa) assembled a team, that... were either cast (for a reality show?.. or sitcom! ) The staff is.. Informative, helpful, charming, and entertaining! All were great, but special kudos to Bryan Ball (concierge). His knowledge of the property (and of Charleston) were unsurpassed. My wife went to great lengths.. building the question to "stump Bryan".. and he always had the answer! Bellman Joel, Ryder, concierge Tristan (and also the lovely young lady at the desk whose name I can't remember!) Definitely the place to stay..

We were in town for a wedding and the Wentworth was perfect. The entire old city was walkable from it, the staff was beyond exceptional and the breakfast was top tier. I'm not sure how to adequately praise the staff, their enthusiasm for the property was apparent and there was never any chinzy money games with amenities or service.

Lovely, historic home. Our room was wonderful with a separate sitting area for reading. The staff went above and beyond with attention and goodies throughout the day. Walkable to most things in town. Will go back.

Outstanding hotel, staff and restaurant. Quiet location yet walkable to major areas of interest. Front desk staff very helpful, accommodating, knowledgeable and gets to know you and what you are interested in while making recommendations.
