Great stay, everything good except for room size.

Great trip. Loved pool. We like relaxing in the room. This trip is the only time we didn’t like something. The room felt like it was the same size a closet.

Gorgeous hotel 2 hours outside of Quebec City

We were greeted by a fantastic bellman and valet which gave us the impression that we had chosen the perfect place for our getaway. However, from there it all went down hill. The front desk gals were anything but pleasant, it was as if we were bothering them when we were the only ones there. They did not direct us to the elevators nor did they welcome us to the property. We arrived in our room which was completely run down, no handles on the windows, a burn in the seat, the towel rack falling off. The amenities were divine though. We wanted a drink brought to our room, the phone did not work. We then went to the spa for our treatments. There we were not shown the spa, no idea where the bathroom nor change rooms were. This is supposedly a 5* spa, I would give it a 2* at best. The massage therapist was the worst therapist I have ever had. We went to the pool after. The outdoor pools were fantastic !! The highlight of our trip. The steam room never got steamy at all and was not tended to. We could not order a drink even though there was a drink fridge there. We had to order room service, why you ask, because the pool guy was too young to serve drinks. That evening we went back to the front desk. We were then treated fabulously ! What a difference, this lady could not have been nicer ! The weekend brunch is superb with the best wait staff! Of course confusion when the bill came as the breakfast was included in our stay and there was no note to this on our room. With a few tweeks this could be the level of the Fairmont that I am accustomed to. However the last manager let it run down and no one has been in to fix the issues.

Excellent for a family vacation

We had a great trip and there was lots to do for the kids! Our room was beautiful and clean, staff were helpful and courteous. The outdoor heated pool was our favorite part! All food and drinks were also excellent, especially the weekend breakfast buffet and the coffee shop!

A beautiful hotel in a beautiful setting

My wife and I stayed for 2 nights over Easter Weekend. We were given room 114 on the first floor. The hotel has 5 floors. The room was very large and had all of the amenities we could have wanted/needed. The King bed was very comfortable. The shower had great water pressure and plenty of hot water. The breakfast has everything you could want included made to order omelettes. The best part is breakfast ran until 2 PM on the weekend so there was no need to rush like with some hotel breakfasts. We found this especially beneficial for our time in the area. The hotel offered many outdoor activities, including hiking, climbing the cliff, skiiing, snowmobiling etc. There was an indoor and outdoor pool and hot tub (we stayed in the indoor pool and hot tub but many others braved the outdoor pool). We did not use the sauna or spa. We stayed on a package that included parking, a meal discount and breakfast. The hotel did make an error and charged us for parking (but we hope they will correct their mistake - or the updated review will have a less positive tone). The only other thing of note is for those that need total darkness. Room 114 had a roll down screen to block the light from coming in but the blind only went down to about 90-95%. There was daylight getting into the window, in other words. This did not negatively impact our sleep or stay but it could impact some that need total darkness to sleep. I have advised the hotel of this in an email that also requested our parking refund; so, we hope both will be addressed appropriately. It is a nice hotel with great staff and amenities. They do need more/better food options; as, you did not have much choice (even with the local options). All of the meal options were also on the pricey side. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. I am sure it would be much busier in the winter and summer months when local weather and activities are in full motion.

Le Manoir Richelieu, superbe hôtel avec vue incroyable sur l’eau

A beautiful spot with a view on the water. The room was comfortable and the employees were absolutely amazing, especially Pierre Chevrier, the concierge. My mom and I were treated like queens. There’s a clothing store onsite, just keep in mind that they only do exchanges. The restaurants were really good with professional servers. They don’t have a store onsite for treats, drinks etc. The casino is nice, mom and I never wan a penny but it was fun anyway ☺️
