Very friendly. Ample parking. Small spa (could they cope with a full hotel?). Excellent spa treatments. Warm outdoor pool. Superb food and wines. Ample views. This has it all ! Stay in the main (old) part.

We have used this hotel as a base whilst visiting a sick relative in Cheltenham on several occasions over the last few weeks and every time has been an absolute pleasure. We have stayed in several different rooms and each one was spotless and well equipped. The beds are very comfortable and the bathrooms have been spacious and well planned out. The restaurant "Beaufort Dining room" is lovely the food was excellent and the variety of wines superb. The breakfast was lovely and the choice of food vast. We also took Champagne afternoon tea in the hall which was delicious. The staff at this hotel are an absolute joy and nothing is too much trouble. There is a lovely spa and lots of outside areas to enjoy the nice weather. All in all I could not recommend this establishment enough.

A really enjoyable two night stay in this gorgeous 15th Century property. The buildings and grounds are quite stunning with some beautifully planted herbaceous borders at their peak in mid June. We stayed as part of the "Rambling Adventure' and were given a Classic Room which was spacious and well appointed with a large bathroom, great shower and effective air conditioning during the June heatwave. Breakfast on both days in the oak panelled dining rooms was excellent and service from the young team superb when they were clearly very busy with several group bookings in the restaurant on both mornings. A couple of things prevented an 'Excellent' review: The package came with a 'Picnic Lunch' to accompany the wonderful walk to Cleeve Hill which we thoroughly enjoyed. When we asked about this on the day in question, the receptionist told us that we should have returned a form by e-mail prior to arrival! Such a document was never received but, this aside, would it not have been better to confirm this at check in? When we did eventually collect the picnic, the content was very good although we did have to ask for cutlery. Dinner in The Brasserie was pretty unremarkable. The room itself resembles a rather dated pub dining room - complete with uncomfortable, wooden, rod back chairs. We asked the waitress if we could move to the side of the room where there was a vacant table with cushioned seating. She told us, rather curtly, that this was "reserved". There was nothing to say that this was the case and, needless to say, the table in question remained unoccupied. The food itself was okay although we did receive an invoice for the full amount and had to ask for the 'package' element to be deducted when we checked out. These relatively small criticisms aside, I would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

What a fabulous day the staff at Ellenborough Park put on for lucky Cheltenham dad's. Loads of great activities for all ages to enjoy, delicious BBQ, Pimms and top music emanating from the hay bales to round it off. Couldn't have asked for a better Fathers Day treat in such a stunning setting. Love this place.

Booked the Father's Day BBQ here as a surprise for my hubby and what a great afternoon we had. The setting is just stunning, especially in such great weather. The food was fantastic and the kids were kept entertained with the bouncy castle and obstacle course! I hadn't been to Ellenborough Park before but I will definitely be back.
