Fabulous stay at a beautiful hotel
Beautiful hotel. Staff were excellent from the welcome to through to checkout they couldn’t do enough for us. Spa area and pool were clean and relaxing. Room was spotless and bed was super comfortable. We ate in The Restaurant , food and service were also excellent. We had a lovely stay and couldn’t fault anything. Would highly recommend and we would definitely go back.

Room felt dirty & massage underwhelming
The setting and atmosphere are beautiful. However outside of that it simply did not live up to its 5* rating. The room felt dirty, it felt tired & had quite badly stained carpets. The bathroom felt unacceptable, tiling was dirty, grouting crumbling away, black mould built up in each shower corner, I sat down in the bath & there was a previous guests makeup smeered across the tile- very off putting. I booked a 50 minute pregnancy massage checking the time at the end as it felt quick, skipping fronts of shoulders and front of my chest- the lady had completed the treatment in 35 minutes! It’s a shame but hotels need to be on top of maintenance especially when trying to deliver a 5* experience. This was a getaway for me solo before having my next baby.

Lovely hotel.
This is a stunning country hotel in a lovely peaceful location. It has great views towards Cheltenham race course and there is a footpath you can walk to it. Our room was large, clean and comfortable with air conditioning. The staff were helpful and friendly and the food was reasonably priced. We only ate in the horse box brasserie , so cannot comment on the restaurant or the spa . Overall a lovely stay.

Beautiful relaxing Cotswolds stay
Really beautiful Cotswolds old English building, with extremely attentive staff, two wonderful restaurants & an incredible spa. Would definitely recommend.
