We stayed from July 4-6 Housekeeping was off standard We called twice Informed reception twice . They came late and worse is they didn’t clean the room well . Two staff even went ! The trash bins were left overflowing … The receptionists in the spa were not polite , was in a hurry and quite dismissive . I would like to commend the restaurant staff though - solicitous, polite and prompt. I hope these feedback will be taken positively to elevate your service Thank you J Lim

We are so lucky on each occasion we stay at Ellenborough. The weather is always good, which enables us to sit around the outdoor pool and enjoy a swim and drinks! The views are also stunning, looking over the racecourse, which we managed to do until the early hours, blissful! Dinner and breakfast were both excellent, with exemplary service. We can’t wait to return again, we’ll just have to keep an eye on the weather forecast!

Our overall experience at this hotel was quite poor, among other things I could mention: a) The shower door had a very poor seal and spilt water flooded the bathroom every time you used the shower. b) On the first day, the housekeeping service did not come to our room, and when we reported the situation they rushed to fix the room, leaving a dirty toilet and the bed barely made. c) We dined in their restaurant the first night of our stay. We ordered a bottle of wine, and the waiter brought the wine only after the second course had been served. No explanation was given!!!!

A beautifully presented hotel with lovely views and grounds. We visited over the weekend for afternoon tea; the hotel was easy to find with ample free parking. The afternoon tea was delicious and we particularly enjoyed the savoury element. The scones were very good as were the cakes. A couple of things were missed; whilst service was friendly I expected it to be a little more attentive. The grounds were very nice for a walk after. The room for afternoon tea suits a winters day more I would suggest; it would also be lovely outside if weather allowed.
