About the Hotel

In a destination as dreamy as they come, Shanti Maurice, A Nira Resort makes the island of Mauritius even more enchanting. The property itself is 36 acres, situated between sugarcane fields and powder-soft white sand beach, with the brilliant blue waters of the Indian Ocean stretching as far as the eye can see. In a place as sublime and exotic as this, Shanti Maurice is a perfect haven, providing the kind of quality and comfort that such a spectacular vacation deserves. When it comes to your accommodations, there are no rooms here - only suites and villas, of course, and every one is magazine-spread worthy. All face the ocean, with floor-to-ceiling windows and sliding glass doors to bring the bright outdoors in. Furthering the integration with nature, large balconies or patios and stone-lined outdoor rain showers add elements of pleasure and ideal places to relax in peace and private. Despite your far-flung locale, you will be ever still connected with internet access, DVD players, and high definition televisions throughout. Whether you choose to shut off connection to the outside world, or relish in some free time and entertainment, Shanti Maurice is ready to help you do it all in style.

A very beautiful resort where I stayed for 4 nights. The service and attention were very high, especially from the staff members Sandy and Kanan.

bad location and very bad hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

i want to share here my full trip that i spent at this hotel i have been there for 1 week with my wife and our baby 1 year old first of all when we arrived the hotel and they give us the room we found about 40-50 dead bugs in the bathroom, and since that moment we were facing bugs every time in the bathroom. second we upgraded to all inclusive they asked me to pay extra 2500$, i can tell you guys don't do it because a lot of food and drinks you need to pay extra even asking for slices of avocado you need pay extra, asking for coconut you need to pay extra. paying that much of money for all inclusive and then paying extra for food and drinks doesn't worth it at all third thing their service is very very very slow!!! you need to wait so much time when you ask them to get you from the room to dinner or asking for towels or anything else! four thing and the worse we had a dinner and our baby wasnt feel good so we did while we were eating a video call with my family, a guest attacked us and kicked us out of the dinner and told us to make video call in our room ( we were making a video call very quite) absolutely one of the worst moments i ever had of my life even we didn't eat and left the dinner and went to the bar to speak again with my family and same guest attacked us again even yelled at my wife second day i expected an apology or anything from the hotel, they did nothing to him!! they even said there is nothing to do for you he is not one of our hotel team so nothing we can do!! when i got this answer i was shocked!! i can tell you guys i could ignore all the bad things that i had with the hotel but when there is no safety just pick another hotel and go away from hotels like shanti the only good thing there is a person called merry, she helped us to orginize the activities she was the only good person i met there even i met everyone there but merry was the only good person there i had more bad things, who need more details and pictures and videos about everything i can send them

Exceptional stay in paradise

Our stay was truly exceptional. The island itself is absolutely stunning, and the resort where we stayed exceeded all our expectations. The villa was beautiful, spacious, and offered everything we needed for a perfect and relaxing getaway. The food was also outstanding, with a great variety of delicious dishes throughout our stay. What made the experience even more special was the staff. Everyone was incredibly helpful, attentive, and genuinely kind, always going above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. A special thank you to Kanen, who made our stay even more enjoyable and convenient. His kindness, professionalism, and willingness to help truly made a difference and contributed greatly to our overall experience. We had an unforgettable experience and would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a luxurious and memorable stay. We would love to return in the future!

There is nothing quite beautiful and horrible in the same breath that i have experienced in my life.

This is one of the most amazing property in terms of location, views, sea, atmosphere and landscape. But never ever visit the same if you are Indian. The lower management staff is unbelievably racist towards Indians. they will not do your chores, your request, will give snarky comments, not follow what you ask and will be scolding you for even asking drinking water. Not just that they will not do your room service, your Concierge will not reply nor revert to you and forget everything they won't even provide you Buggy for travelling within resort because you are Indian.
