We had a truly exceptional Valentine’s experience. The champagne dinner set up on the beach was stunning — candlelit tables on the sand, elegant décor, and live music that created the perfect romantic atmosphere without overpowering conversation. The food was excellent and the drinks were equally impressive, with fresh flavors and beautiful presentation throughout. A special mention to Pritish for his outstanding service at the bar. He took the time to guide us through the cocktail and champagne options, asking about our preferences and suggesting pairings we wouldn’t have thought of. Every drink he made was perfectly balanced, and his passion for mixology really showed. The signature cocktail he crafted for us was easily the best we’ve had — creative, refreshing, and memorable. His knowledge, patience, and friendly manner made the experience feel personal. We also appreciated Kevin, the new Executive Chef, who personally visited each table with his assistant to ensure everyone was enjoying their meal. That level of care and attention is rare and speaks volumes about the kitchen’s commitment. The entire staff was attentive and warm, making the evening seamless from start to finish. Our room was also very nice and clean, which rounded out the stay perfectly. Highly recommend for special occasions. We’ll be back.

I went with my sister for a spa treatment at Shanti Maurice and we were amazed by the professionalism of the staffs and their manager. The place was very peaceful, soothing and well maintained. I will definitely recommend Shanti Spa to my friends and family and I'm looking forward to my next visit.

We had a lovely time at Shanti Maurice Resort & Spa and it was truly a memorable experience. The food was absolutely amazing beautifully presented and full of flavor. A special thank you to Chef Sandiren for the incredible cake for my husband birthday , which was the highlight of our meal.He was very friendly and each time he came to see if everything is going well. We were also very well taken care of by Ashvin at the restaurant, who was exceptionally friendly and attentive throughout. At the reception, Merry welcomed us warmly and was both professional and kind, making us feel at ease from the moment we arrived. Overall, a fantastic experience with great food and outstanding service. We will definitely be back.

**Headline: Stunning Accommodation Let Down by Extremely Poor Service** I recently stayed at Shanti Maurice in a Junior Suite Beachfront, and while the physical property is beautiful, the experience was deeply frustrating due to a significant lack of coordination and service standards. **The Good** **Accommodation:** The Junior Suite in front of the beach is truly great spacious, well-maintained, and offers a beautiful view. * **Wellness & Activities:** The highlights of the stay were the yoga and pranayama sessions. * **Spa Staff:** Unlike the rest of the hotel, the staff at the spa are sincere, professional, and very welcoming. **The Issues** **Service & Communication:** The customer service is very poor. Staff frequently mislead you and there is zero coordination between departments. * **Inconsistent Policies:** I booked two rooms and experienced frustrating inconsistencies regarding my children. My teenager son was counted (and charged) as an adult for the room, but when it came to dinner, he was suddenly classified as a child. I food we have to express our disappointment, then an indian chef came to remedy the situation. The theme Shanti does not match at all. **Dining Disappointment:** The food service is subpar and the taste is only average. In a baffling move, my daughter,who was counted as a childwas not even given a dessert. * **Value for Money:** For Mauritians, the price is on the high side, and the service simply does not justify the cost. ### **Verdict** Overall, this 5-star hotel performs below average. While the rooms and spa are high-quality, the management and front-of-house service are not up to a luxury standard. If you are looking for a true 5-star experience, **I highly recommend LUX* Hotels instead**; their class, service and attention to detail are significantly superior in every way.
