Shanti Maurice, A Nira Resort

This was a lovely mix of nature and luxury. It is great for a serene getaway, great food, and the spa was special.

We have just returned from an incredible week at Shanti Maurice, and everything about our stay exceeded our expectations. The overall atmosphere of the resort is absolutely superb, peaceful, elegan ... A special mention to the restaurants, which were truly outstanding. At Stars, Vick and his team were exceptional. Their kindness, professionalism, and attention to detail made every dinner a real pleasure. We spent wonderful evenings there that we will never forget. At the Rump Shed, Vishal and Ajali are simply extraordinary. Incredibly kind, attentive, and caring ... They made us feel so welcome and special. We already miss them! We would also like to sincerely congratulate the hotel’s General Manager, Brice, who does an exceptional job. He is present, attentive, and clearly leads his team with professionalism and care. It is rare and very reassuring to see a General Manager so involved in ensuring that everything runs perfectly. A big thank you as well to Kevin, the Culinary Director, who goes from restaurant to restaurant, visiting tables and personally ensuring that guests are satisfied. His presence and passion are reflected in the outstanding dining experience throughout the resort. This level of management and hospitality makes all the difference. We very much hope to return for the festive season at the end of the year. Thank you to the entire Shanti Maurice team for an unforgettable stay

I stayed at Shanti in Mauritius for five nights at the beginning of February 2026 to relax and try Ayurveda. The hotel is in a beautiful location, everything is very friendly and manageable, which I find very positive. Although it was quite busy, I didn't feel it was too crowded. Rooms were very nice, big and facing the ocean. The conversations with Dr. Tiwari were very good, informative and comprehensive. The treatments he selected individually for me (approx. 2 per day) were also excellent. I was able to relax really well and always felt very comfortable. The private yoga with Deepak and the fitness classes with Ravin were also a special experience and highlights. As I only had 5 days, it was just a taster of Ayurveda, but it was just right for me. I didn't have a strict meal plan (which you can have) and that suited me perfectly. In fact, I have to say that the food in the main restaurant and in the Rumshed grill restaurant was absolutely delicious. I love good food, so I wouldn't have wanted to miss out on that. The breakfast buffet was also a dream. I have visited over 20 hotels in Mauritius, but the Shanti definitely stands out for its food, its absolutely professional and extremely friendly service, and the great and professional treatments in the spa area. I am very happy that this concept exists in Mauritius. I have already booked my next stay.

Dear team at Shanti Maurice. We’ve just had the most wonderful week away in Mauritius as a family. The resort is beautiful. The room had a stunning view overlooking the beach with incredible sunsets. The food was wonderful though out and had a range of different restaurants to keep you from getting bored of the same dishes. Breakfast was a great spread and so fresh. The facilities were exceptional - the room had everything you need and were spacious! Swimming pool, beachfront, spa, padel, tennis, a gym… which we all made use of as it was easy to. The kids club was fantastic and the girls there were so wonderful looking after our two munchkins. It’s free for over 3 year olds so we had to pay for our youngest but it was worth it. They have so much space there and the kids loved it. It also gave us time to relax and use the facilities as a couple. We even got to place our first game of padel. The team were so friendly and helpful! They were always happy and waving to the kids. They also gave us a room on arrival and departure to freshen up as we had a baby. Everything was always tidied and they did their best to make you feel relaxed and peaceful despite that’s not the case with 2 children! The only thing I could say is it probably could be a bit more pram friendly around the pool but I heard it’s getting a bit of a renovation soon. The service attitude of all the staff in this hotel is very good. Our housekeeper Kanen is also very warm to us. Every time there is a problem, he can help us solve it as soon as possible. And knowing that we are going to the airport very early, he is very considerate to help us and my friends prepare breakfast. I look forward to staying in this hotel next time I come to Mauritius.
