A hidden oasis in Chiang Mai

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 days ago

This hotel is a luxury oasis in central Chiang Mai and is well worth the visit. The food, accommodations, restaurant, bar, atmosphere, and service - are all superb. We greatly enjoyed spending a few days here while exploring Chiang Mai.

Loved It!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

We stayed at 137 for three days and we loved it. The staff were amazing. Very kind, helpful and attentive. The food was fantastic. The rooms were exceptional. Access to the city was very good. The hotel is located in a quiet and serene setting but with very easy access to the city activities. We highly recommend it. A few caveats are don't go to Thailand in April because it is the hottest month of the year. Second the gym is modest and you should go turn on the AC at least 30 minutes before you want to work out. If you are gluten free, there are options for breakfast, but more limited for dinner. But the chef is willing to cook something gluten free on request.

Beautiful Hotel with impeccable service!!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

We have traveled the world and 137 Pillars House is one of the finest resorts we have ever experienced. The hotel is beautifully appointed with every amenity available. The rooms are wonderfully designed and spacious. The resort is beautifully laid out. Lush gardens, beautiful waterscapes. Perhaps what stood out the most to me though was the outstanding service and attention to detail. The best we have ever received. Cannot thanks the staff at 137 Pillars enough for giving us the vacation of a lifetime!

This is the Place

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

137 Pillars House is a beautiful setting with very upscale suites. The grounds are just lovely. It's a tropical paradise yet it is very close to the old city of Chiang Mai. Once you arrive it is like stepping into a quiet oasis. The staff and the servers at the restaurant are very pleasant and very helpful. The staff at the hotel quickly cater to any request. Any request is filled in a matter of minutes. The restaurant has very good food and what a historic setting. Just beautiful. We couldn't get over how quiet the grounds are. The rooms are very well appointed for a luxury stay. Wonderful large balcony off your suite made for resting and relaxing. Whenever we are in Chiang Mai this is the only place we will stay. Wonderful.

Croquet and more!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

Didn’t think I’d ever play croquet in Thailand but managed it here! Superb rooms and exceptional food. Situated close to the river and every member of staff truly marvellous. General Manager visible, friendly, approachable and the staff will do anything for you. Good spa treatment. When staying there book a Tuk Tuk to the Sunday market and visit the Kanta Elephant Sanctuary. Highly recommend.
