You might have company when you settle in for your morning cup of coffee at Anantara Golden Triangle Elephant Camp & Resort. Here elephants take center stage, and your luxurious digs are in the midst of their natural habitat at the convergence of Thailand, Myanmar and Laos. Anantara paired with a traditional mahout village that works alongside the Golden Triangle Asian Elephant Foundation, which performs street rescues, provides employment and gives more than 25 elephants and 60 people a comfortable living. That means the once-in-a-lifetime experience you’ll get by interacting with these gentle creatures is life changing for them, too.

Amazing hotel, located in a pictures setting among greens and natural beauty. The room are very large and well appointed with all the most luxuries amenities. We had a family room that has 2 big bedrooms and a living room. Huge balcony facing the Makong river. Fantastic bathrooms with everything you may dream to have. They welcomed us with fruits and cookies for the kids. We were on a plan that included all meals and some activities. This was perfect ! Walked with elephants, took a day trip and river cruise, did spa treatments. All were super well organized and fun. Food was very good, huge variety for every taste and age. We loved every meal. Service and people working here are super nice and attentive. They know your name and remember everything you ask for. The highlight was staying one night in the bubble lodge. Wow, what an experience. It’s and expensive surcharge, but, you get an unbelievable experience. Overall we had an amazing stay, and this is highly recommend to people looking to enjoy this amazing part of Thailand in a luxuries setting. Well done team Anantara !

We had a magical stay at this wonderful place! We booked the arrival with boats and were greeted by Elephants. What an exceptional experience. During our stay we had the great opportunity to learn about the history of elephants in Thailand. We got introduced to the resident elephants and the mahuts, learned about their ways and the foundation for the elephants. This was not only magical for all of us but memorable beyond our wildest expectations. Thank you for letting us make memories that will last a lifetime!

We were a family of 12 ages 9-69 and had the best experience. The hotel itself is stunning, rooms amazing (both families of 5 had an adjoining room so they got to be together) and it has an incredible pool area. They have multiple resort activities and our chosen activities were perfect for the family - walking with the elephants, (great to be up close and hear how the mahouts handle and live with them) spiced spoon cooking class (absolute fav for everyone!!) and there was a boat ride to see the 3 countries converging on the river and a tour of a village which really wasnt a village but more a craft market and was our least fav thing to do. Staff were super accommodating for our big family and everyone always has a smile on their face and is willing to do whatever you need.

We stayed at the Anantara Golden Triangle Elephant Camp & Resort in Chiang Rai, a luxury hotel themed all around elephants. I learned that the Golden Triangle is a reference to the intersection of Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar. Upon arriving, we were greeted with a person playing drums and necklaces with elephants' beads as we were introduced to the resort. It was by far the most luxurious (and most expensive) place I had ever stayed at. Everything from the room to the dining area to the pool was very nice, and the pool even had a view out over the grasslands where you could see the elephants. After we settled in, we got dinner and Thai massages. The massage was a very enjoyable experience. It came complimentary with our hotel package, and the women were very nice and allowed you to customize the experience as much as possible to keep you comfortable. It was about an hour and I left feeling very relaxed. We also did both the Walking with Giants and Jungle Bubble excursions which were incredible and highly recommended.
