We had the opportunity to visit Chicago and chose the Cambria Hotel because of the quaint atmosphere and location. I must say the hotel is very nice and is clean. The rooms were not so well appointed. We were given a room on the top floor next to the roof top lounge Unfortunately this bar closes around midnight. It is very noisy and only really got quieter around 12:30ish We should have complained but after being out for the entire day (9am until 10:30pm) the only option would have been to call complain and maybe we could have been offered a new room We decided to just wait it out When this was mentioned the next morning, that perhaps staff should forewarn of the noise as it is very noisy the concierge was totally unsympathetic shrugged her shoulders and told us we should have said something at the time Gentlemen working valet were awesome

I was only here for one night in Chicago for business and was actually running around a lot, both in the city and outside of it, so had a rental car. The hotel does offer parking at a cost, but they were super great and flexible about in and out privileges with the valets. The rooms were super nice and modern. There are only about 8-10 rooms on each floor, so it's relatively quiet, but I did hear some sneezing/coughing from the room next door, so the walls might be a bit thinner for the lighter sleepers (bring those ear plugs!). It's in a great location, right off Michigan avenue and 4 blocks from the Chicago stop on the Red Line of the L train. The price was cheaper than anything around, but still not for the budget conscious.

After booking a room at another nearby hotel that turned out to be really bad, we took a chance using Hotwire to find a new place and we scored! The price was comparable to the first hotel we stayed one night in but Cambria Hotel & Suites was 10X better. So happy that we got to stay here. We were able to check in early since they had a room available for us so we could get out of the crappy hotel and get moved into our new one. Cambria Hotel & Suites is a beautiful hotel with a contemporary boutique feel. We got the King Suite and it was very spacious, with an extremely comfortable bed. I think I got some of the best sleep the 3 nights we stayed. The room included a desk with chair and mini refrigerator. The staff was friendly and helpful. We liked that we could "go green" and each morning got a voucher that we could use towards food/snacks in the barista / bar in the lobby. They had a great selection to choose from. Due to our schedule, we didn't get to take advantage of the rooftop lounge. It seemed like it was quite popular. We were very happy with our stay. Next time I visit Chicago, I will look at staying here again.

Location was good - near the Water Tower. Hotel was nice. It was under construction, but we never noticed any noises. I think they kept the guests away from it pretty good. However only one elevator working. People did have to wait at peak times. Hotel staff was nice and informative. Lobby was clean. Room was clean and did not smell. Pleasantly surprised our room was like a "suite". It was quiet on the floor we were on. Hallways were clean. Rooftop bar was very nice - great happy hour. Great views. The bartender was excellent. Very professional. I (we) would stay there again.

We had the pleasure of staying in this wonderful hotel in early September 2017. We came in on an early flight and we were greeted by a very pleasant staff member at the Cambria hotel who took excellent care of us. Our room wasn't ready so they stored our luggage while we went out for a bite to eat. When we came back and our room wasn't ready ( check in was at 3:00 we got back at 1:00) they upgraded us to a nicer room that was ready at no extra charge. This hotel is perfectly located in the heart of the city. It is well maintained and have lovely staff. I won't hesitate to stay there again on our next visit to Chicago.
