I stayed 3 nights here and it was a great spot. Just off Michigan avenue so access to lots of things within a few blocks. Room was very spacious, updated and clean. I really liked the large size. The bathroom was also quite large, but is a standing shower so keep in mind if you need a bathtub. There's a perfect little breakfast downstairs. $15 for a buffet (your typical breakfast buffet type stuff) and also a nice coffee shop that makes great coffee and has pastries and little stuff. Great to grab something on your way out. There's also a rooftop bar that I checked out briefly. It was nice. Also something convenient to have right at your hotel. Overall would definitely stay here again!

Nice clean rooms. Good price. Friendly, helpful staff (Jennifer at the front desk is awesome!). Within walking distance of all the shopping and site seeing you wanna do. Great bar with excellent view of the city. Plus world Gino's pizza is right beside the hotel!! Highly recommended and if I'm ever back in Chicago I wouldn't stay any where else!

We loved our stay here/ The proximity to shopping was perfect, the staff was nice, and the rooms vey good (although could use a bit of a makeover). We would definitely rebook here. It was a little bit of a walk from the parks, and museums...but not horrible and there is always uber. Kids were a little disappointed there was not pool, but we kept them quite busy sight seeing. Wish the breakfast was complimentary. Seemed a little pricy for what they offered, but we just brought our own breakfast stuff.

This was my first time in Chicago, and I will definitely book the same hotel again in a next trip. My husband and I stayed in the hotel last weekend, and I have to say that I was very pleased with the location. The hotel is walking distance to the lake, the Magnificent mile, the Navy pier, the Art Institute of Chicago, the Hancock tower, and the SkyDeck. Also, it is next to a restaurant which it is very handly when you are tired. You can find other restaurants and 7elevens in the vicinity. For icecream, please go to Amorino! For early check in, they will charge you around 25dol. However, if you prefer to wait until 1pm (free after this time), you can leave your suitcases at the hotel and go around. The staff is very nice, and they can help you to buy tickets for different atracctions.

The hotel location can't be beat for the price. That being said it faces the same problems it did when it was named Mile North, Affinia, Etc. The staff has become a lot better and are easy to deal with, big improvement there. The roof bar is still awesome with a great vibe. Problems. The elevators didn't work on time. it often takes 5-10 minutes for an elevator and there is usually a line of 5+ in the lobby. About 50 people took the stairs one day at check out time. it was funny - if you're not mobile it would be a disaster. A/C was broken, fixed and worked for about 15 minutes. It is not a huge deal but a 75 degree room was annoying. Basically if you want location and a 3* hotel, this is good. It is not the Peninsula, but you're paying 1/3 the cost so thats expected. If you get a good rate go for it, otherwise look around.
