The hotel is located in a great area, Parking very expensive but staff told me about a parking app Spot Hero. It saved me $35 for overnight parking. I found parking close by for $15. That was very helpful. The rooms are very nice and there was plenty of room when I let out the sofa bed. I did have a problem with the internet and was on line with tech support for 45 minutes. Still could not fix it... so I had to go to a Starbucks and work. That was a major problem.

The location is fantastic. It's less than a block away from Michigan Ave. And a parking building is right in front of it. The staff can do with a little more training on hospitality and friendliness. That's my opinion. The rooms need to be updated a bit. Not bad.

I saw some bad reviews of this hotel earlier in the week of my visit on another site, and I honestly don't know why. The location is great, in easy walking distance to Magnificent Mile, Navy Pier, the subway, etc. I found the desk staff very friendly and accommodating. My room was clean (and promptly cleaned each day), and quiet. I did receive a notice that there would be a temporary water shut off in my room due to a maintenance / renovation task, but apparently the job was completed two ours early, and I didn't miss any needed service. I didn't take advantage of the lounges, so I can't comment on them, but all in all this was a great 'home base' for a quick visit to Chicago.

As stated in other reviews, the primary bright spot of this property is location. Interaction with the staff (Front desk, housekeeping, bartender) was very positive. Some strange policies to extract more dollars from guests. Arrived early and inquired of availability. Was informed I was early but if I wanted immediate check in, it was available for additional $29.00. Opted out of that offer, checked luggage with bell staff and left for lunch. Requested high floor and assigned 17th floor. Property is located adjacent 2 hospitals and receive ambulances all day & night. High floor minimized the street noise. Suite was average, bathroom small with strange lighting & décor. Very strange noises at early morning hours. Could be plumbing or renovation?? At check out, was advised there was another $6.50/day service charge. After explaining the pre-payment of $235/night included room/taxes/fees, front desk associate removed charges. Have no idea what service was provided other than a room and shower. Overall, not bad property but certainly only a 3 star experience.

Jennifer and staff are amazing! Great location and a nice clean big room! Would highly recommend this place to everyone. The rooftop bar was great and had an excellent view. The bartender was fantastic and personable.
