Loved the location of Cambria -- close to the lake, Navy Pier, Magnificent Mile, and lots of good restaurants, bars, sightseeing, etc. Was able to walk everywhere, go for a run around the lake and walk to dinner and hangouts. The rooms are nice, very large and have both a nice seating area as well as the bed and a small entry. Just a fridge, no micro which was a bummer. The staff is very helpful and the valet guys are great. The only reason I didn't give this a 5 star is they advertise their rooftop bar and push that it is so great and yet we were there Sat night, Sun and Monday nite and the rooftop was closed for a private event on Sat night, and its always closed Sun and Monday. That was disappointing for sure. The lobby bar was convenient but just not what we wanted for a hangout. Breakfast is offered at $14.99 and looked good but we didn't partake. All in all it was a great place for the money!

My husband and I stayed here as part of our honeymoon, this was the first leg of our trip. We enjoyed every minute of our time in the hotel. The room was spacious, comfortable, clean and stylish. And what a view we had from the room. We had a lovely time at the rooftop bar also. The staff were so friendly from the door staff who greated us by name to the reception and housekeeping who arranged for my forgotten phone to be shipped to me. The location of the hotel is also excellent, many places of interest within walking distance. If we are ever in Chicago again we will definitely be staying here, this was our favourite hotel of our trip to the states (and we stayed in the Bellagio in Las Vegas). Thank you to the Cambria! Great location. Very near Hancock tower, great shops, easy to get around. Room well furnished, large and spacious. Bathroom clean, good amenities. Excellent fitness room. Open coffee/restaurant on ground floor. Quiet street near/next door the Northwestern hospitals. Negative- inconsistent internet service- although free, hard to access. Reception staff polite, but not overly helpful or resourceful. Called to check on internet issue, promised by staff for a routine call. Never received call in 24 hr period. Reception staff need better training. Room not ready when we arrived (understandably) was pushed by staff to take an upgrade of $30 p read night for a ready room- declined.

This was a great location with everything within reasonable walking distance. We used the hop on hop off which helped with orientation. Good helpful staff and room was clean and tidy with good size bathroom. Slightly odd layout with steps down to the bed but absolutely not a problem. The air con was noisy when starting but was not needed but forgot to mention it. Would recommend for the price.

A great location, really close to excellent restaurants and easy access to public transport. I would recommend the hotel for the location, but it was under some refurbishment at the front entrance and according to the hotel information the 52Eighty bar (constantly promoted as a highlight of the hotel) was closed on both nights . We had a great stay despite not having any of the stunning city views mentioned on the website, but a view of a building to the rear. But there were a couple of issues, on the first evening we reported the in-room safe not working, to be investigated while we went for dinner. This was not completed when we returned and no information to inform us of any problem. We had to again discuss with the front desk staff the following day, this time the helpful lady on the desk, who had no record of the request, immediately arranged for a Technician to investigate and following a quick look replaced the safe. Secondly, on returning home to the UK we have found a $15 charge on my credit card, despite paying in full through our airline, with no explanation or knowledge of the charge. Happy with the hotel and the location for the cost, but concerned about the unexplained charge.
