The three stars are for all the staff we encountered, who were all lovely, helpful, and kind. The hotel lobby is gorgeous and reminiscent of a different era. The hotel common areas are very clean. The rooms are where it all goes downhill! Our room was clean but shabby and depressing. Peeling, dirty wallpaper, dirty vents on the walls, ageing carpets, a broken smoke alarm, paper-thin towels, and a shower that took 10 minutes to heat up. Hilton should do a far better job with updating this place.

This hotel should should get zero. Number one the room is far smaller than what they put on the website number two the service is atrocious. Number three they have a QR code for room service and if you phone doesn’t work you end up waiting 25 minutes for someone to come up to use your phone to try to get you some food as there is no menu in the room and there is no way to call room service. This entire fiasco was almost 2 hours in the end. I never got my food. I would never stay here again definitely not worth the money to Talle but I would never recommend this hotel. The rooms are antiquated need to be updated, the bathtub has a sinking side when you step on it to make this compliant I’m surprised it’s still in business. I would never ever recommend this to anyone.

Beautiful lobby and event space but the rooms are very average and nothing luxurious about them- old furniture, fixtures and squeaky bed (not the good kind of old). Restaurant is average and room service comes in a brown paper bag with plasticware. Good location. I was disappointed.

Hotel is a nod to bygone era. We were in room 330 for 4 nights. Checked in on Thursday, 9th June 2024. Paid our security deposit of 300 US dollars. When we departed on morning of Monday, 13th May reception staff told us full amount of security deposit would be refunded within 48 hours as no incidentals were charged to room. It's now Thursday, 16th May and the refund transaction has not taken place. Could someone from Hilton or Drake please confirm when security deposit will be refunded? We enjoyed our stay, apart from the security deposit not being refunded when we were told it would be.

We booked the Family Room because we have stayed here before and the room was spacious and had two bathrooms. Our room this time did not look like the picture shown on the website. For the price, I expected the usual comforts from a hotel like air conditioning, pillows, fans/ventilation in the bathroom, maybe even the usual pad and pen on the desk and definitely places to plug your electronics to charge and a refrigerator. Well, the air conditioning didn’t work so they had to open the windows in our room. They had three pillows on the bed; why not four? The bathroom didn’t have any ventilation or fan. We received multiple texts asking about room service and how our stay was. I replied and they said they would bring us extra pillows a refrigerator and have someone check in the air conditioning. No one ever came to bring this. Also the televisions were the size of computer monitors and placed in random spots in the room. Very disappointing!
