The hotel has a beautiful view of Chicago and the Bedding was out of this world. Like sleeping on a cloud. We are return guests and they had bottled water and fruit try in our room with a note, thanking us for our return. Nice touch!

I got a great deal via Amex FHR program. This hotel is very high class establishment. Great room and service. Wish I could've stayed longer. I was disappointed that the pool was closed due to renovation because that was the main reason I chose here. It should've been mentioned on the website when I chose the hotel.

I stayed here during the holidays for a week and enjoyed my stay and the attentiveness of the staff that I interacted with from the doorman, to the front desk, to housekeeping. Unfortunately I didnâ€™t have the same experience when I had to talk to the hotelâ€™s AP staff after my stay. I booked my stay on a site that advertised a â€śstay 3 nights get one freeâ€ť offer and a rate of $329 per night. My bill was higher than expected when I checked out, but the young man at the front desk mentioned a refund would be processed in a week or so, so I didnâ€™t worry about the rate difference. A couple of weeks later I called about the rate difference and a very nice young woman in AP took my info and asked me to send over a screenshot of the rate from the booking site I used. Once I sent the screenshot, I quickly received a phone call from an older woman in the AP office who left a hurried message about why the higher rate was correct and that she was leaving for the day in 10 minutes. I quickly called back and had to insist on her sending the information relayed by phone in an email for me to review. Given how quickly she called me after I sent the email and the tenseness of her voice, I felt like my inquiry was not given appropriate attention and she was annoyed at having to deal with me. Overall, I was so shocked because everyone else I had interacted with from the hotel was so pleasant and helpful. Maybe the back office staff should attend the same training as the front of house staff.

From the moment I stepped from the cab, the bellman identified my name off my luggage and prepared the front desk for my arrival. Quickest and most pleasant check in ever! Plus, breakfast at the Allium should not be missed. Comfortable setting, relaxed and friendly service with excellent food choices.
