The Langham, Chicago

The Langham Chicago is Top Tier! My husband and I are entrepreneurs in the hospitality industry, we stay at resorts around the world and go on staycations often but The Langham Chicago is now our top choice. It feels like being at a five-star resort in the sky. The hotel is stunning, the beds are beyond comfortable, and the food is excellent. We stayed on the Club Level and loved the breakfast, snacks, and cocktails. Dinner at Travelle was unforgettable—the burger and truffle fries are a must! What really sets this hotel apart is the staff. They went above and beyond to make my husband’s birthday so special with thoughtful touches that made our stay unforgettable. Huge thanks to Tatiana, Eloy, Amanda, Ipek, David, Taryn, and Borko for their kindness and care. The Langham is now our favorite hotel and truly our home away from home. We can’t wait to return possibly for our vow renewal next year!

Overall, we had another wonderful experience at The Langham. The front door staff truly set the tone for the stay—always cheerful, welcoming, and helpful. Their attentiveness leaves a lasting impression, as they’re both the first and last faces guests see. The Club Lounge is a highlight. The food and beverage offerings are second to none, and the staff there are consistently kind and helpful. The quality and variety in the lounge are a big reason we choose The Langham, and I hope this level of service and selection remains unchanged—it’s well worth it, and it ensures returning guests like us. We did encounter a small issue with housekeeping. One day our room was missed despite receiving confirmation via the text messaging system that someone would come by. It seemed more like a communication issue with the messaging system than with housekeeping itself, as the team otherwise did a great job. Room service was another challenge. After returning from a football game, we tried to order food, only to learn that 24-hour room service is no longer available—even though it’s still advertised online. At a luxury five-star hotel, I think it’s reasonable to expect at least a limited late-night menu, so this was frustrating. On a positive note, the spa experience was excellent. My massage therapist was wonderful, and the complimentary champagne afterward was such a classy touch. Overall, the service—from the front door staff to the Club Lounge team and housekeeping—was terrific. Thank you for another memorable stay.
