The Langham Chicago in Chicago, Illinois

There’s no missing The Langham Chicago on the city’s skyline – the hotel occupies the first 13 floors of an iconic skyscraper designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, and it’s walking distance from the Magnificent Mile. A newcomer on Chicago’s five-star hotel scene, the London brand brings with it some of its trademark flourishes. Greeters in two-piece Chanel suits – in Langham’s signature shade of pink – welcome guests to a sleek, spacious building dotted with architectural artwork by Jaume Plensa and Anish Kapoor.

Perched high above Chicago, watch the Windy City come to life. Walk through The Loop district as the el train rattles overhead. Dig into one of the city’s famous deep-dish pizzas. Then return to the hotel for a refined afternoon: Langham London is credited as being the birthplace of English High Tea, and the tradition is no less sumptuous in the States. Enjoy tasty small bites and the finest Earl Grey in the Pavilion with live music and skyline views.

The Langham is an excellently-appointed, well-located hotel that gets classified as "Luxury". It warrants that classification. On the north side of the River, block off Wacker and a block from Michigan, it is within easy walking distance of theaters, the Art Institute, MagMile shopping, etc. Rooms are beautiful, with extraordinary features and accessories, and with great views provided you request an upper floor, on the River side...away from the "You-Know-Who" Tower next door. Major plus --from someone who usually stays at the Four Seasons because of the staff quality--the people at The Langham are The Best! From greeting top departure and all interactions in-between, each and all were great! Friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and committed to ensuring we had everything we needed to have a remarkable stay.

Luxury and class all the way! From the lobby to the guest rooms and the spa this hotel is amazing! Worth every extra dollar to stay in the comfort and luxury of this beautiful hotel. One of the most beautiful spas and pool areas I've seen. Wonderful restaurant - we had dessert and drinks at the bar one night after dinner and loved everything we tried.

Starting staying here when it first opened. The Langham is still a great place to stay. Rooms are beautiful and lots of nice touches, hot cider in the lobby etc... The spa is one of the best in Chicago, I highly recommend. The staff is still top-notch, from the doormen to the concierge and everyone in between. Shout out to Timothy on club level, very personable and helpful. Club level at the Langham is what always edges out the other hotel choices. Great food, great views and a cozy atmosphere. I guess if I had one "negative", it would be that I wish they had some type of outdoor space like the Peninsula has to lounge outside during the day in the summer. Otherwise, Langham always exceeds my expectations. And it's a great location if you're in town for theater!

Just a beautifully appointed room and common areas. Nice turn down servicel left a tray with glass and bottled water. Best in room coffee maker I've had in a long while. Quiet rooms and spacious. Glad the window to the bath has the electronic privacy screen.

Best hotel in Chicago. I don't really need to say that this hotel is perfection. Rooms are well designed, well lit. I am spending 6 months at this hotel 4 nights every week. and I travel for living. So for a place to have such an impact means a lot.
