We have stayed at the St. Regis, Peninsula, Waldorf-Astoria, and the Ritz Carlton in Chicago, and The Langham surpasses all of them in terms of overall facilities, room features, and quality of service.

I'm delighted I have chosen this place for a stay with my family! It exudes tranquility while still being in the city. I loved the room and how quiet it was at night. I loved the hotel. I felt at ease from the moment I stepped in. Very friendly staff, elegant decor, and a peaceful, soothing. It's a place that I will never forget . Special thanks to Mr. INGRID from front desk upon my arrival he was very helpful and professional I was surprised at how welcoming he was. And he gave me a little gift for my son it was very nice of him. And special thanks to Mr. PATRICK in Travelle restaurant for breakfast he was very attentive and he gave us the best service we ever had. MERCI BEAUCOUP!

Boy, the Boston Langham needs to send its management here to learn a thing or two about true luxury accommodation! This Langham is gorgeous and there isn’t an employee you pass who doesn’t smile and offer a greeting. Alex was such a great steward of the hotel at our check-in. Our room was so luxurious with comfy robes and slippers. It was a staycation but we still worked out, and the gym here is one of the nicest hotel gyms we’ve experienced. The pool and locker room areas are just as luxurious. The bar is nice and breakfast was good (we would have liked a steak option for breakfast). We will definitely be back for another getaway from the north side!

I will never return to this hotel. Misleading reservation that cost me $500 more than I thought I was paying.

This was our second stay at The Langham. We went on Thanksgiving weekend, so there were lots of families. The suites are large and well-appointed with broad views onto the Chicago River and distant views of Lake Michigan. The Club Level is worth every penny. Unlike The Peninsula and Four Seasons, The Langham Club Lounge has a broad selection of quality buffet food offerings from 7 am until 9 pm. We had vegan, gluten-free, and health-conscious travelers in our group of seven and everybody found something they liked. The breakfast, afternoon tea, and evening offerings are extensive with an additional a la carte menu at breakfast (no additional charge). Items included a variety of green salads (including kale Caesar), charcuterie boards, finger sandwiches, cut-up wraps, potato salad, pasta salad, huge shrimp on ice, and small desserts (cream puffs, cupcakes, brownies). In the evenings, a full bar is set up for you to make your own drinks. The coolers have champagne (or sparkling wine), sodas, still and carbonated water, juices, etc. At lunchtime, they offer "snacks" of whole fruits, energy bars, a variety of chips, and multiple candy bars. It's not really "lunch," but many people are away from the hotel sightseeing at that time. We ate one lunch in the restaurant Travelle, and it was very good, too. The staff in the Club Lounge learn your name quickly and make your party feel welcome. They replenish the buffet frequently and cleanly. (I am usually averse to buffets, but this was well tended.) In my opinion, the overall quality and selection at the Club Lounge exceeds that of the Ritz-Carlton. The arrival and departure from the hotel were seamless and calm with a well-trained staff. Housekeeping was thorough and efficient consistent with a luxury hotel. You can communicate with the hotel by texting your question or request. Without fail, somebody responded within 1 minute! The swimming pool is busy, but large. Our only misstep with The Langham was at check-in. I communicated with the hotel staff well in advance that our party of seven (in three suites) would be arriving at 3 pm and they texted a response: "We will have the rooms ready by 3 pm arrival." Two suites were ready at 3 pm, but the third suite was not available until 4:21 pm (they text you when it is ready). The Front Desk offered no explanation and only a cursory apology. This was disappointing.
