We had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The room was spacious and clean. The executive lounge was top tier with great views of the city, a lovely variety of food and attentive staff.

Staff and Hotel set the bar high. I was very impressed. I even received a Langham Bear which was so adorable 🥰 you all should be very proud by the way your staff uphold and be the face of The Langham ❤️

The Langham is a decent property with spacious rooms (for a superior king). Location is great, very walkable to Michigan Ave and with plenty of restaurant options close by. However, for a five star property, service and staff are better at the Four Seasons (both front desk, daily service, and spa services as well.) Friendlier, better attention to detail and requests (should you have any) and efficient. Small things - like a dirty washcloth not being replaced from the previous guests, housekeeping forgetting to stop by to make up the room, dropping the ball in getting a special item delivered to the room for a 50th bday (despite several assurances it would be there) - these are all little things that add up to a subpar guest experience. It’s a perfectly fine hotel, but for a true personalized and luxury experience you are better off going to the Peninsula or Four Seasons. Food was consistently good (though service was slow, even in down times) so that was a plus.

Just when you thought it couldn't be duplicated, they turned it up a notch or two or three! The Langham Chicago has been my destination for celebrating special personal events. I can't think of a better luxury hotel to commemorate these important days, with the warmth and charm of its surroundings and exceptional staff. Keep it up, Langham Chicago....you're the GREATEST!!
