This was my first time at the Park Hyatt. It will not be my last time. This is a beautiful luxury hotel in a great location. My room was large, modern and comfortable. The Eames Chair in the room was a nice touch. The wifi was strong, and there were adequate outlets. Service was excellent too. I will be back.

I am disappointed with my first visit to Park Hyatt Chicago. It was our anniversary and we had high expectations for our stay there. I am a Hyatt member and chose to stay here instead of at the Regency just looking for a special place for our celebration. Here are some of the details that made my stay this way... 1- Room was not ready at 1:10pm even though I had requested early check-in. This, I could understand because the hotel was full (I think). I was told that I was going to receive a call when the room was ready and I never did. I simply went back to the hotel at check in time. 2- I was told that my room was on the 17th floor upon arrival only to later find that I was being given one on the 11th floor. As for the excuse... I heard several: Not ready yet; there is a mechanical problem and finally the hotel is booked and there is nothing we can do to change rooms. Needless to say that the view from the room wasn't the one I had imagined, or seen on pictures. 3- I was told a complimentary Champagne bottle was going to be in the room upon arrival (which I really appreciate, it is a nice touch). Well, it wasn't. After an hour of waiting I was told that "dine in" services started at around 5 or 6pm. We finally got the bottle delivered about 1.5 hr later. 3- There was no way to pair your phone/handheld device via Bluetooth to listen to music. To make matters worse, the iPort tablet in the room (only device present) had no music available, the stations would never load. I was told there was a technical issue that they were aware of it so... no music. 4- One of the handles in the Jacuzzi tub came off completely. We reported the incident and it was semi-taken care of while we were not in the room. 5- A manager called me to explain all of the above and apologize: No rooms available, technical issue with iPorts, etc etc and offered a $100 credit for the inconvenience to be spent at the hotel. We used it at NoMi's restaurant and got excellent service and food there. While this was very appreciated by my husband and I; the stay was already "clouded" for all the issues experienced. In the end, we left with the bitter taste of a weekend we had imagined to spend...celebrating. Gracefully, dinner and the city of Chicago was as good as always.

A solid luxury choice in Chicago. We stayed in Park King. It is a good size room, with plenty of space for everything. Nice bathroom amenities. Excellent service in NoMi. Will stay there again when in Chicago

We stayed here for a concert - we are World of Hyatt members - and could not fault the hotel. Prices are a little high - but that is to be expected for a centrally located hotel in Chicago. Facilities were superb, staff were great - well worth the money. Bed and pillows were the best we have ever experienced!

We stayed here a couple of years ago...loved it then and still do. Some complain about the siren noise...yes, there was some but if you get a high room, it is minimal and the location to the other things Chicago has to offer is worth it! Perfect
