This was my first time going to and staying in a big city. I am a girl from a small town that consist of two red lights and we pride ourselves on hospitality. With that being said, and the fact that the city was huge, beautiful and overwhelming, I was pleasantly surprised. Everyone I met at the hotel was friendly. They made me feel at home, comfortable and safe. I was greeted with a smile and always asked if there was anything they could do to make my stay more comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to everyone. The staff was wonderful and the place was beautiful and clean. Plus the beds were so very comfortable. It is also located perfectly for easy access to everything. A must stay for anyone in Chicago.

My wife and I planned a weekend trip into Chicago (we're from the suburbs) to celebrate her birthday and her successful recovery from serious health issues. We cannot say enough about how pleased we were to have chosen the Park Hyatt for this special weekend and about how wonderful the experience was. This weekend was one of the busiest weekends of the year in Chicago because of the Air and Water Show and the Cubs being in town. We reserved well in advance and knew that the hotel would be crowded. Midweek, I received a welcome email from the hotel manager and I responded thanking him and telling him why we were coming in and that we might be arriving before the normal check in time. I should probably say that I am a member of the World of Hyatt loyalty program. When we arrived to check in, it was later than I expected, about 3pm, the normal check in time, but I heard the front desk clerk politely explaining to the couple ahead of us that because the hotel was at capacity, they might have to wait a short time for their room to be ready. (So, I was prepared to hear the same thing.) But, no, our room was ready, and they had assigned us a room with a lake view on a higher floor. Remember, this was Air and Water Show Weekend, so we might be able to see some of the activity. We arrived in the room and it was beautiful, and there was a welcoming note for us wishing my wife a happy birthday - signed by what seemed like the whole hotel staff! With short notes - not just their names! It was so nice. And we looked out the window and we were centered over the Water Tower - an amazing view in itself, and out in the lake were hundreds of boats for the Show. And almost as soon as we looked outside, the Blue Angels flew by! Really! We sat and watched the finale to Saturday's show - with the Blue Angels going in all directions - left, right, up and down - right in front of us. It was amazing - too bad that the John Hancock Tower and the Water Tower Place blocked some of the view - but we could see the Oak Street Beach area to the north - where there was plenty of action... as well as the lake directly in front, and didn't need to move from the window. Oh, the hotel? Just wonderful. Clean, spacious, comfortable, well appointed, great shower and bath, amenities - slippers, bathrobe, of course, and everything you might imagine. We were so pleased to be there. And the staff was friendly. Everyone was helpful. And the clerk wished my wife happy birthday at least 3 times as we checked out! Genuine warmth. Can't say enough about it and can't wait to go back!

My first set of keys didn't work and we had to wait for about 10 minutes to get a new set of keys. When the employee came up to give us the new set of keys, she left right away without checking to see if they worked properly.

I took a terribly early flight from San Diego to Chicago and doubted that they would check me in as early as 7AM but they did! Already my stay was on a very positive note and I couldn't wait to get to my room to fall asleep again. Upon arriving, the valet took my car and offered me help with my luggage. Their uniforms reminded me of door men on the Upper East Side. I've always said that Chicago is just a smaller version of Manhattan. The lobby was warm and inviting. It had a high end contemporary feel with a lot of leather, natural stone, and wood decor. The attendant checking me in was personable while maintaining a very professional tone. The room was quite exceptional with tasteful decor and soft wood furniture. The room was on a high floor and had a large view of the city with soft window seating below. It had a big desk where I had all my meals. The bathroom had an oversized tub, seperate stand up shower and seperate toilet area. I actually walked over to the Lush a couple blocks away so I could pick up some bath melts because that bath tub was every bath man's dream. The bath tub had wooden shutters that opened into the main room where you could soak in a warm bath and watch a movie. Each room came with its own iPad where you could order 24 hour room service, schedule spa appointments, or even get information on the surrounding Magnificent Mile area. I ordered room service multiple times during my stay and I have to say the food from the NoMI kitchen was some of the best food I have EVER had. The food was the cherry on top of this stay. Best of all, right next to my comfortable bed were controls to black out my room so I could sleep into the afternoon. The hotel was in a prime area of Chicago called Magnificent Mile where there is a lot of things within walking distance. Overall, these accomodations were everything I was looking for in a high end luxury hotel and can say this establishment has incredibly high standards. This was one of my most memorable hotel stays and will definitely be back!
