The hotel is good, in a nice location, a bit old, the employees are very nice, special thanks to Gabby from reception, and all her colleagues in the entire hotel. They were all very helpful and smile all the time. My only comment is that breakfast is expensive in the hotel, a boiled egg for 3 dollars plus tax.

The service from the bell hops to the valet to the front desk, housekeeping and restaurant were phenomenal. Big shout out to Edgar at CBR who was our server both times we ate at CBR. He was wonderful and the food was exceptionally fresh and well prepared. Also want to give kudos to Antwonne who came and helped us with our bags at checkout. He kept us company while we waited for our car and had us laughing. We truly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back and refer others to stay as well. Thank you for a perfect stay.

My partner and I visited Chicago for seven nights and booked to stay here as we wanted to be in the River North area. When we arrived the bellman came to our car and took out all of our luggage and escorted us to the front desk to check in. We had a lovely welcome from Valerie who informed us we had been upgraded which was a lovely surprise. Our room was stunning, a sitting room and huge bathroom with a jet bath and walk in shower and the most comfortable bed ever! We spent a lot of time out exploring Chicago but one evening due to heavy rain we decided to eat in the bar and had great service from Nate. The hotels location was perfect for us and everything was in walking distance, we only used the Metro once when we went to a Cubs game at Wrigley Field - everywhere else we walked. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again as we absolutely loved it and the staff really make the hotel!

I most definitely enjoyed my experience staying in this hotel. My family and friends loved it as well. Will definitely be coming back

My experience from the Royal Sonesta River North was outstanding. I specifically want to shout out Gabby and Antwonne. Gabby took great care of us as soon as I arrived helping us get settled in right away. We came from an early flight at 530AM and Gabby helped us get checked in as soon as the next available room was ready. I really appreciated her for this as we really needed the extra time to get rest, freshen up, and get ready for our night activities. On the other hand, Antwonne welcomed and gave extra care to us. He was great conversation, told us a bit about the weather and how to prepare for it. He also looks out for all the guests making sure they feel welcomed and taken care of.
