I really like the location of the Sofitel; close to North Michigan Avenue but far enough to avoid the crowds, two blocks from the subway and a pleasant walk to Millennium Park and the area nearby. We had an issue with the hot water but that was fixed immediately. When I experienced the same issue in other hotels in the U.S. and London the response was always: 'Sorry, it's an old system.' I guess the building is about 20 years old but very well maintained and doesn't feel it's age. Staff were also friendly and helpful. I look forward to my next stay.

I had a chaotic day or travel and was beyond thrilled to arrive to this beautiful hotel. The room was beautiful, the bed SO comfortable, and a lovely welcome. I will stay again! Very nice staff as well.

Stayed there last night, have been there several times, previous times weren't great experiences but I collect the Accor points. Rooms are OK if not a little dated. Restaurant is really good, avoid breakfast as the service is awful. My biggest hate from this experience is during checkin I was 'upgraded' due to being a Dimond Accor member and I am 'so special', and when I got to the room it was exactly the same room that I booked.....what a joke! ;-) Will try elsewhere next time...

Great location. Nice enough amenities in the room. Weird double bathroom doors. Fast elevators. Bar opens at four and fills fast. Dining area is good for breakfast. One of us didn't get a room till nearly midnight, and he was a Sofitel member.

Hotel was clean, well located, good room sizes and friendly staff . No hesistation recommending sofitel for a stay. Gym was well kitted out. Bar was busy. We did not eat in the hotel as plenty of choices nearby. Beds are super comfortable which helps after a long flight
