Walk Michigan Avenue for wonderful restaurants and shopping. A few blocks from Lake Michigan. We rode train from Iowa and back. This hotel is very personal and not a large, busy place. Very clean and enjoyed the quiet.

We have travelled to Chicago MANY times. This was our best trip yet. The hotel was the perfect mix of location, comfort, style and price. The proximity to Michigan Avenue and Rush Street is super convenient.

This was our first stay with The Whitehall. I look forward to staying again as the hotel was clean, centrally located and had wonderful, friendly staff!! The other plus was its convenience to many of the restaurants we had intended on visiting.

This hotel is located in THE most desirable neighborhood of Chicago. You can walk everywhere, to a multitude of restaurants, tons of shopping. There is the Museum of Contemporary Art within a 5 minute stroll. Lake Michigan is an impressive sight to behold.

I love the Whitehall, its so unpretentious and low key. The staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms clean and comfy with just enough extra amenities that it feels a little bit special without being over the top. Amazing location convenient to public transportation and all kinds of shopping, eating, and diversions. The only bummer is no in-room coffee (there is nothing like that first cup in bed), but plenty of good coffee in the lobby and room service. Not one, but two restaurants on the ground floor. We only had a chance to eat at the Italian restaurant and it was delicious. Seriously, I cannot wait to go back!
