The Whitehall staff made it very clear that they wanted our family to have the best possible time we could while visiting Chicago -- they opened doors, hailed cabs, greeted us with smiles, accommodated room requests, remember our kids names. The hotel was beautiful, the view from our room was incredible and the location was in the middle of everything.

This was our first say at the Whitehall the service was impeccable. The room is as clean and spacious and the staff was very nice I give it a 9 the reason why it did not get a 10 was because for a ritzy hotel the toilet was extremely cheap it was like using a thin paper bag.

Older hotel, loud air conditioner, no sleep button on TV, Bed was AWESOME and so was the restaurant. Being a business traveler fitness is huge to me and that was not so good. Weights were great, but the cardio needs a redo. 2 treadmills one didn't work and the other was so loud you couldn't even hear music. The elliptical made a loud noise if you went anywhere remotely with speed. Would i stay again, sure but i would call ahead to make sure stuff worked.

The room felt small when we first walked in but had everything we needed and we really enjoyed our stay. The room was kept very clean and staff were very friendly and helpful. Really enjoyed the atmosphere of the historic hotel.

Alex, the bellman, has seen our children grow and has become our friend. He has always greeted us with a smile and sincere handshake. He is extremely helpful and kind. We also enjoy sitting in the louge area and having a cocktail before walking to dinner.
