We had a great stay at the Whitehall Hotel. It was less than a 10 minute walk from the Red Line. The area was great within walking distance of many Chicago attractions. The breakfast was good. The value of the hotel was great.

Very good hotel with an exceptional location, and a good value. Walking distance to a great many dining options and shopping.

The Whitehall Hotel has a fantastic location — just steps from North Michigan Avenue, the Viagra Triangle, and convenient transportation options (the Red Line, Clark 22, and Broadway 36). We stayed in a junior suite, and the bed was incredibly comfortable — one of the best hotel beds I’ve slept in. However, the room could use some updates. The furniture was torn in spots, the electrical outlets were outdated (there wasn’t one near the nightstand), and the bathroom still had an old heat lamp. A full-length mirror and a magnifying mirror in the bathroom would also be nice additions. Breakfast was standard, but overall, the location and comfort made our stay enjoyable.

This room on the 17th floor has a spectacular view looking east towards Michigan Avenue including the John Hancock building, Water Tower and 900 N Michigan Avenue. Room is spacious and immaculate. AC perfect even though it was 80 degrees yesterday. Gym has a nice selection of cardio, free weights and machines, above average for the typical urban hotel. Check in was easy with friendly service at the front desk.

First the good stuff - The hotel is in a great location and a good price. Upon entry into the room we found that the light switches adjacent to the entry were not connected to anything. Had to enter the dark room to find a lamp and switch it on manually. The WiFi was useless. I could rarely make a connection and, when I could it would soon disconnect. Was unable to conduct any significant business or communication. Toilet design or water presure was inadequate to clear waste on the first , or often second attempt. Plus the toilet is located in the middle of the bathroom (what . . .?).

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at The Whitehall Hotel in March. The property is lovely with an Old World charm, and the food is wonderful. We were treated well by every employee, from the desk clerks to the waiters. We have already booked another weekend and cannot wait to return!.
