Reviews for The Whitehall Hotel
This hotel is in a phenomenal location, wonderful staff, nice, quiet and clean rooms. Loved the room deal that included your parking, made life so much easier. Only tiny downfall was no coffee maker in the room, so you had to leave to get that first thing.
Perfect location to walk to good shopping and great food! Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and very spacious. Probably ready for a facelift in the next two years. I will book again for a weekend in Chicago.
It is advertised as Boutique hotel, but room looked old and tired. Hotel has a very convenience location, which made it worthy; no breakfast or any other amenity. For bed hotel is ok, you can't expect a real big hotel service.

Nice getaway for staying in the heart of Chicago. It's an elegant old lady hotel with a curious mix of marble and plastic, modern conveniences such as wifi and flat screen TV, but inconsistent heat spots and funky plumbing. Onsite restaurants and bar are nice. The concierge service very good. If you drive in, be prepared to spend about half again as much to park unless you're familiar with finding last-minute places or using the park chicago ap. The mini bar is ridiculously expensive, and the only amenities are morning coffee and tea served downstairs. The room we had was comfortable but did not have tissues and only one trash can located in the bathroom. Walk-in shower.
We stayed here recently on a one night getaway. Our room was on the 9th floor at the end of the hallway, so it had 2 windows and was quite spacious for Chicago. The bathroom was beautifully tiled and well equipped. A few things that we found awkward with the room:1) It was drafty; 2) No outlets near the bed so we couldn't charge a phone within reach and be able to tell the time, which was inconvenient because 3) No clock anywhere in the room and 4) No in-room coffee maker. There was free coffee in the lobby in the morning though. Despite these minor issues, we would not hesitate to book here again. The friendliness and hospitality of the valet service and the check in/out staff were outstanding. The location can't be beat, so close to all the major Michigan Ave attractions. We got excellent value for money and our choice of hotel helped make our weekend in the city a success.
