The hioyel's setting is amazing, overlooking the beautiful lake. Staff very friendly and helpful. My son have dietary restrictions (gluten-free, dairy-free) and everyone was very helpful in that regard. Private beach is great and beautifully kept. The grounds and rooms are spotless. Suitable for all types of travelers. Highly recommended.

We returned with our 6 month old son having been two years earlier as a couple for a pre honeymoon. I would say for older kids the hotel is ideal; there seemed to be so much on offer for them. As a couple with a child under 2 there was quite a few of the facilities i.e. restaurants, pool after 4pm that we weren't allowed to use. This led to us feeling quite excluded and we had to shorten our day trips to get back in time to use the pool. We raised this concern a few days in as the team had told us multiple times that we couldn't order room service from the restaurant menus let allowed enter the restaurant. As soon as we raised our concern the operations manager came to see us, apologised, explained that the team members we spoke to must be new as of course we could order anything on room service. We understood babies being excluded from the fine dining restaurant; we wouldn't eat dinner with a crying baby if we had a choice. He also had an engineer come and fix a problem we'd had with our shower immediately. So in the end that was all that we can ever hope for: that they help guests have the best stay possible. That said the food is amazing at La Terrazza so eat there if you get a chance! The swimming restriction was still frustrating, although non Thursdays kids are allowed in until 8pm it would have been great if there could have been one hour every evening that kids were allowed in so you could go on a day trip, return and go for a swim before dinner.

Great view and hotel over the lake. Perfect for adults and for families. The service and the food are also very good, and the spa is interesting for relaxing after all the activities. Italian, swiss, mix.

Granted this is what I would call a family resort, and over all we enjoyed or stay. It would have been a little better with more adult time at the indoor spa. Just the same, the staff is just outstanding, and the food was great. We found the town of Porlezza very nice to walk to, but we didn't find the upper walking trail till the day we left. Be informed that there is only one taxi service in Porlezza, and we got charged 20 EUR for a 2.2km ride,,,so much for world travelers that we are? A shuttle to the town, might be a good add.
