We stayed at SandPearl resort for 4 nights in early October, 3 kids and 2 adults. The location is excellent, can walk to many restaurants and shops. The lobby is nicely decorated, and the pool is nice. They have cornhole and ping pong set up by the pool which the kids liked. The rooms were nice and clean. We got a suite with a kitchen and the kitchen could have been a little better stocked, as we did try to have a couple meals in the room. The disposal under the kitchen sink broke while we were there and started leaking water on the kitchen floor, but to their credit they did fix it quickly. A few downsides. Sometimes the valet guys seemed to not have their act together. One time they couldn't find my vehicle and after about 20 minutes located it in the hotel's employee parking. They had an indoor play area for kids near the pool but it stunk so badly from mold and dirty feet that we couldn't stay in there at all. My biggest gripe is that they want to charge you to use the hotels umbrellas on the beach. Really irritates me when I'm paying more than $1,000 to stay somewhere and they want to nickel and dime me for a beach umbrella. Overall pretty good and I think we would consider possibly staying there again.

We have just arrived home from another stay at the Sandpearl. We have stayed at the property around 15 times over the past number of years for 7-14 nights at a time. Unfortunately I don’t think we will be visiting again. The quality of the hotel over the last 2-3 stays has really gone downhill. The rooms/bathrooms are starting to look tired and the level of service within the hotel is dropping. We travel a lot and stay at other resorts which seem to have moved on much better than the Sandpearl. The biggest thing it misses out on is personalized service for loyal/returning customers. As a high star resort this is just a must for people to return- especially as more and more hotels are opening up along the beach in recent years. All efforts seem to have gone into the sister property and The Sandpearl is now lagging behind. We stayed for 7 days this time around and our room was only cleaned 3 times- on 2 of these occasions it was cleaned because we called down to ask for it to be. We usually receive this service twice daily-once in the morning and also a turn-down service in the evening. I have to say the service on the beach/pool and coffee shop is still great- most of the servers have been there since we started visiting the hotel and always supply a very good standard of service with a smile to go with it!

Just returned home from an awesome family trip to the Sandpearl Resort. The resort is lovely. Right on the beach - which has soft white sand and plenty of shells. The staff are very friendly and we were able to check in early. They even offer free mimosas or champagne by the front desk! Pool area was great as well as the service. Lots of activities for kids available as well. They gave us a rollaway bed at no extra charge. The resort even has a free shuttle and took us to the Clearwater Marine Aquarium one day. This is a top-notch resort. Would recommend it for anyone. Hope to return!

We stayed at the Sandpearl to attend a wedding at a nearby yacht club. We were very pleased with the service and friendliness throughout our stay. We were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to a suite at checkin. And, while breakfasts were the only meals we had there, the food and breakfast buffet was very good. I also enjoyed a massage at the spa. The let down for us was the facility. The hotel and spa seemed to have a tired look as if the paint and maintenance wasn’t quite up to par. The bar area was reminiscent of a Holiday inn. I make a comparison to the Don Cesar, which is close by. It is immaculate and exceedingly well maintained and has an elegance the Sandpearl lacks. I feel the Sandpearl strives to be elevated, but just misses the mark.

We stayed here 3 days in October. It was our first time at this hotel. The room was a little small for a suite, but was updated and very clean. We brought food and had everything we needed for meals in the room - refrigerator, stove, microwave, coffee maker (K-cup). The view from the balcony was beautiful with wonderful sunsets over the ocean. The room also overlooked the pool and grounds, and every night there seemed to be some type of function such as a wedding, but it was actually enjoyable as we could sit on the balcony and listen to the music. The check in staff and valet were ok, professionable but not overly welcoming as I would expect in a luxury resort. Although the champagne at check in is a great touch. Suggestion to the hotel though - have something for the kids at check in too! The rest of the staff was awesome and worked tirelessly to be at our beck and call. The wait staff at the pool and beach were top notch and always quick to respond. Having lunch right on the beach was fantastic. The hotel is upscale, but also manages to be family friendly at the same time. I never felt out of place with my two little girls. The zero entry pool is great for the little ones, and we loved the evening movies by the pool. Smores around the fire at night is always fun, although $6 for a two smore kit is a little pricey, especially when one is dropped in the sand.... We had the breakfast buffet the last morning (kids ate free) and it was great. Everything you could think of was included, and the omelets made to order were delicious. The Sandpearl is pricey, but does not disappoint. I can't wait to return.
