Reviews for Albergo Terminus
We stayed at the Terminus for 3 nights. We arrived in a van and were able to park outside the main entrance for our entire stay. Big plus! On the night of our arrival, there were terrible thunderstorms with torrential rains so we were unable to walk to our dinner location. The restaurant staff, although trying frantically to stop some of the flooding in their outdoor seating area, we're kind enough to put together a lovely table for 8 in a dry location. Dinner was delicious! Everyone in our group was pleased with both dinner and the service. Next were the rooms. Our room was rather large and recently redone on the top floor w a lovely view of the lake. Bed was very comfy and room was nicely decorated. The negative was the shower.. Although the bathroom was clearly new, the glass shower was in the bedroom. The slats on the shower floor were slippery and there were no handrails in the shower. One definitely needs to be cautious while showering. At night, it is very easy to bang into the shower as you must go around it to get to the separate toilet area. While the design might give the room a more open, larger space, I would have preferred another design. The other negative, although not a deal breaker, is construction at the hotel. The banging goes all day, but we were out most of the day so it was a deterrent. Don't plan on an afternoon nap though. Not until construction is complete. The location is terrific. Hotel across from ferries and a few steps from the train to Milan. Breakfast was more then adequate. Food selection was not excessive, but still very good and staff was fabulous. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, although I would definitely suggest another room type and consider elsewhere if you need naps during the day until construction is complete.

Very small rooms, not much bigger than a closet, front desk staffed with interns so while friendly, not that helpful. Great location in Como, the breakfast was ok, but the breakfast service was great, ask for eggs, but you pay extra for them, sit outside if possible. I wouldn't stay here again if I came back to Como, Belagio is much better.

We spent 2 nights at this lovely hotel. Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. It is reachable by a short taxi ride from Como S. Giovanni train station. Situated in a perfect location across the lake, and a two minute walk to the Ferry and center square. Como is a beautiful town with amazing views. The room we were assigned did not have a view, so Claudia was very kind to offer us an alternative. We chose a smaller room but with a lake view. The hotel is beautiful and breakfast is wonderful. Bed is cozy and shower is very nice.

Unlike many who reviewed this hotel, we got lucky with a nice room with a balcony view of the lake. The complimentary breakfast was good and that staff was so nice and charming. The front desk staff was anything but helpful. They were quite off-putting. The dining room and outdoor bar staff was so awful we chose not to dine there. We wanted a place to sit outside and perhaps order something to drink and we received only a dinner menu. We were directed by the front desk to sit in a dismal back area in a courtyard. The maitre'd looked angry that we were sitting there and yelled at one of the waiters in front of us. He was rude and unkind. Although the room was fine, the hotel is dated and the carpeting and furniture are dingy and old. Overall, in spite of a nice view from our balcony, we were very disappointed.

Fantastic people, beautiful hotel and the best dining in Como. Do yourself a favor and stay here. Besides the beautiful hotel itself, the secret is the food. You can't dine here if you don't stay here so don't miss the opportunity.
