About the Hotel

You might have to elicit the help of a local to find Hospes Palacio del Bailio – it’s hidden on a narrow, residential street that’s walking distance from Córdoba’s sights, but isolated enough to cultivate a dreamy, time-traveler’s fantasy. Built between the 16th and 18th centuries, the former palace is one of the city’s architectural jewels. As a hotel, it retains its historic bones – think stone arches, vaulted ceilings and intricately carved wooden doors – and adds modernist touches, such as the dark gray Sierra Elvira marble that encloses the bathrooms. In the courtyard, Roman columns frame a fantastic swimming pool.

Pampered in Cordoba

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 days ago

Palacio del Bailio in Cordoba is a lovely hotel and facility. I went to their spa and had the 30 minute relaxing back massage with Paco. It was definitely relaxing AND truly delightful! If you’re going to Cordoba it is definitely worth a visit to the hotel and their spa.

Very nice historical hotel at walking distance from Cathedral and Alcazar. Nice repection by friendly and helpfull staff and the manager himself showed us around in the hotel. At a later occasion he also personally shhowed us the ancient roman villa in the basement. Breakfast was really very good and also food at swimming pool and dinner were tastefull. Nice swimming pool and chairs and not to forget the spa.

Beautiful hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

This is a beautiful hotel, a bit out of the way, so it is quiet, but only a few minutes walk to cafes, shops etc. We were offered a welcome drink on arrival. There were small treats left in the room every day. ( We stayed 5 days). The room we had overlooked the lovely garden and small pool but we were not disturbed by noise even though we were very close to the pool. Room was well equipped, bed very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, egg dishes are cooked to order ( scan the QR code on the table for menu, or ask for a paper one), and there are cold meats, cheeses, fresh pastries and fruit etc , all lovely. And an amazing glass floor! The only one criticism is that the spa was a bit disappointing; you book for an hour shared with 2 other couples. There are 3 pool areas- a cold dip pool, a small hot tub and a "warm" pool, a bit larger that you can swim a few strokes in. The other couple while we were there refused to get out of the hot tub, ( only big enough for 2) and after a while we were too cold to stay in the so-called warm area, so we left. But this is a very minor criticism; the hotel itself was lovely, staff all polite and helpful, and we would not hesitate to stay here again.

Beautiful and tranquil

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

A beautiful hotel in the old town of Cordoba. Extremely tranquil despite being within 15minutes walk of all the sites. We were upgraded to a garden view room, very comfortable with a wonder bathroom. The breakfast buffet was exceptional and the actual dining room built above an old roman ruin, so make sure to look down and through the glass flooring. We needed to leave early on our departure day so the hotel provided us with a picnic breakfast which was much appreciated. We found all staff extremely helpful and would highly recommend this hotel. We will definitely be back next year. Thank you.

Tanquillity in charming Cordoba

Palacio del Bailio offer an oasis in Cordoba. Beauty in architecture, decor and not least the garden and the patios. Creative restaurant and outdoor setting when weather allows. Very service oriented staff including good advice regarding Cordoba. You relax in the Roman bath after a long day touring or take a dip in the outdoor pool. The graden offers an all day restaurant as well and outdoor lounge and sun deck chairs.
