Stayed 4 nights half board junior suite. Good: Friendly staff, staff spoke English, easy to book transport to from Marco Polo airport, welcome chocolate & prosecco, dining staff attentive, easy to hire ski equipment, convenient location to town, room reasonable hygiene Bad: Week day maid very lazy at cleaning room: didn’t clean or take away used plates, didn’t fold bedding neatly, knocked all the shoes around at the front door despite them being laid neatly by me. The weekend maid was much better. The hotel car which takes you to the ski lifts costs 20 euros: many other ski resorts wouldn’t charge this. The buffet breakfast lacks variety. The dinner was ok . I think the chef was trying to be creative: A+ for trying. The ski hire room smells bad. I’ve been to resorts where they can fix this so I don’t feel it’s something I have to accept as normal.

This hotel is centrally located and it's close to the city shopping walk with plenty of great stores and a good number of great restaurants. The hotel is well kept, clean and the staff is very friendly. is attractive and breakfasts we had there were very well thought, presented and with a huge variety of choices. We did not have any dinner there, but I've heard they are highly rated. Went there with my son and we thought it was one of the best hotel to stay in Cortina. Recommended also if you go with kids.

We stayed at the Grand Hotel Savoia Cortina for 5 nights. Our room was modern, clean and a good size. Hotel is close to via Corso (3 minutes). The hotels shuttle/taxi service provides easy access to the near-by ski fields (e10 [5-10 mins] to Faloria and e25 [10-15 mins] to Socrepes). There is also a public bus but “10 minute” wait-time was really 25 minutes. The ski shop in the hotel (lower ground) with the help of ski shop legend Marco provided skis & boots. Note: Ski hire equipment was old and below average condition. Breakfast buffet was good but anything cooked was an extra charge. We will return. Note: Best ski fields are c. 45 minutes away. The Great Bits: Room, staff, saunas, pool. The Good Bits: Bar, breakfast, hotel taxi. The Bad Bits: Old ski hire equipment.

This was our first trip to Cortina. We were staying at the Grand Hotel Savoia as part of a ski club trip. What a fantastic hotel!! From the moment we arrived we were treated in a first-class manor. From check-in, through concierge service and a truly 5-star restaurant, we received the best of the best. Tatyana, the head concierge, was fantastic, as were Sofia and Paolo. They organized everything for us including an incredible full day of an instructor led ski experience doing the Sellaronda. She was also very helpful in helping us navigate the ski buses and the variety of ski areas such as Tofana, Faloria, Cristallo, Cinque Torri and more. As far as the restaurant goes, it was amazing. From breakfast to dinner the food was incredible and the service was excellent. Every meal was over the top! The spa and wellness services were also very excellent. A great place to end your day after long day of skiing. Overall, our group had a wonderful experience and we highly recommend the Hotel Grand Savoia!!

We had a wonderful Christmas holiday at the Grand Hotel Savoia. The hotel is very stylish and understated. The location is great just a few minutes walk from the centre of Cortina but very quiet. It is also near the ski buses etc. There are plenty of places to eat next to the hotel if you don't want to go that far. Cortina is a scenic town and the view of the surrounding mountains from our rooms was magnificent. The room itself was on the larger side, beautifully detailed, very clean and had its own balcony. The bed was large and comfortable. There were a number of us staying there and we were given adjoining rooms which was nice. The only issue was the heating. It was a too warm in the room even with the air con off so we needed to keep a window open. The facilities at the hotel were truly five star. Everything was excellent. The swimming pool and spa area deserve a special mention. If you are skiing the hotel makes it so easy. There is on site ski hire (run separately to the hotel) that offers excellent service and only charges for the days you actually ski. Immediately outside are hotel cars which can drop you off right at the ski lifts. The hotel also sell lift tickets. All the energy can be put into the skiing rather than getting there. Truely the best I have ever experienced. The staff were great. From check in, the breakfast team, cleaners and bar staff everyone was friendly and professional. Special thanks to the concierge team who went above and beyond to return some items we left in our room. Highly recommend the hotel to anyone visiting Cortina
