We cannot say enough fantastic things about Il Falconiere, and their wonderful staff. If you are looking for the chance to stay in a true country villa, but with all the services of an amazing small resort, this is the perfect find. Warm and relaxing, but with a beautiful restaurant for dinner, deck with views for lunch, spa, winery, and grounds. The rooms are truly one of a kind, and we had the suite next to the spa and loved it's high ceilings, stone walls, and views of the pool and vineyards. But what really makes the experience is you are visiting the Baracchi family estate as their guest. Sylvia teaches the cooking classes, Ricardo leads the wine tasting in the winery, and you get to share being part of their family. We spent four nights and wish we would have stayed a week. Everyone goes out of their way to make you feel at home, and our favorite is Anna who manages the guest experience and is so warm and friendly. You cannot do better in Tuscany than Il Falconiere!

My husband and I stayed for our honeymoon in Nov 2016. We thoroughly enjoyed our stayed but made sure to note that we had to make mention on trip advisor of how great our massages were!! The best we have ever had! If you make it here definitely get a massage. Activities :We did a cooking course and the wine tour which were both interesting and fun. Also went off on our own to Cortona which is a MUST ! Food: Goes without saying the food and wine in the Restaurant were top notch but a bit pricey! Con: we were lost when we got to the train station with no one there who spoke English to help us and no phone to use......took some time but we were finally picked by a driver who was organized by the hotel

There is so much to say it is impossible to know where to start. The setting is perfect, a mountainside is Tuscany. The historic buildings are updated and decorated in the classic Tuscan style with an eye for detail. The grounds are lush and so welcoming and peaceful. The views are spectacular and so romantic. And that's just the beginning. When we arrived, we had just spent a week in Rome and 3 days in Florence and were ready for a peaceful and slower pace. We thought we would venture out and visit some of the neighboring towns, we didn't. We were content to just enjoy the grounds, sit in the gardens, watch the olive picking and enjoy the spa and of course the food at the restaurant. The staff is fabulous and has been trained to truly offer a first class experience. This is the second Relais & Chateaux property we have visited and the standards of service are exemplary. They are professional with warmth and class. Don't miss the restaurant for dinner, but eat a very light lunch that day because you will want to have every course. Also, do the wine tasting tour, it has a great 'surprise' at the end that is quite fun!

I was really looking forward to my stay at Il Falconiere, but was disappointed with the experience. We had booked a Junior Suite and upon check in were informed that it would not be available due to a problem in the property. They offered a Deluxe room and changed rooms the next day as promised. The rooms are in need of a lot of TLC. They are run down. The beds are not comfortable and the lighting was not appropriate. There were big bugs in our room and the electricity shut off twice when we turned on some lamps. The heat was on and could not be turned off and the rooms were uncomfortably hot. The staff was professional, but not very friendly. The Spa was understaffed and average. There were children playing and screaming in the Spa pool while we were doing our treatments, making it impossible to relax. On the positive side, Il Falconiere is a beautiful property located at a spectacular spot. It has a lot of character and old charm. The dinner at the Michelin starred restaurant was delicious as was breakfast.
