Savour your first glimpse of this majestic castle and its enchanting lake, as you pass through the castle gates. This was the ancestral home of the O’Briens of Dromoland who were the Kings of Thomond and whose lineage goes back 1,000 years to Brian Boru, the only High King of Ireland.

We loved our three night stay in Dromoland castle with fabulous food and service every night in Earl of Thomand restaurant. Breakfast was equally good. The hotel is near Cliffs of Moher and Bunratty Castle, both of which are outstanding and worth a visit. For a special occasion Dromoland Castle is well worth a visit.

Picturesque site. Amazing rooms. Extremely kind and helpful staff. Treated like royalty. Spa, tea, Falconry and clay shooting were tons of fun. Outstanding food. Breakfast has a wide variety of choices. Live music in the evenings. Beautiful grounds which are lovely to walk

Dromoland Castle is truly magical. As you come around the drive and get your first view of the castle, you feel as if you've stepped back in time. The staff and service are unbelievable and the detal and decor within the castle make it a stay unlike anywhere else. We truly enjoyed every moment!

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at Dromoland for 3 nights in late April 2024. It was fantastic! The grounds are gorgeous. Make time to discover all that the grounds have to offer. (My only regret is that we did not have more time in our schedule to do just that.) The food is phenomenal. The breakfasts were amazing (buffet and made to order). We ate dinner at The Fig Tree and at The Gallery. Both meals were very delicious. The staff are outstanding. They helped us with a number of things during our stay. Would highly recommend Dromoland and hope to return again soon.
