Castlemartyr Resort

Castlemartyr Resort is a very special place, there is something for everyone in this resort. The location of the resort is amazing, the weather was lovely during our stay but it is the kind of place where the weather will not matter as the layout of the resort gives you that feeling of being 'away from it all'. The food is absolutely delicious, we had the Chef's Menu in the Canopy and it was delicious, the attention to detail is very much part of this resort success, We stayed one night with breakfast which was beautiful, we are hoping to stay for a longer break during the winter months to re-charge our energies because it is that sort of place which is relaxing but has a lovely comfortable atmosphere which the staff create for their customers...

I recently spent the weekend at Castlemartyr Resort with friends. We played Golf on Friday, course was superb. Rooms are very spacious, and comfortable. Restaurants, bars are great, staff are just so friendly. On that note, I would particularly like to compliment the night manager Myles and particularly Emmet, who ended up driving me to Midelton Southdoc Clinic at 04.30Hrs, due to a Medical Emergency. The hotel, booked the appointment, kindly provided hotel transport, stayed with me at the Clinic, and later drove me back to Castlemartyr Resort. On return, they also arranged a late checkout and Booked Breakfast Room service. Now that is what I consider 5 STAR Service. Thank you Castlemartyr Resort Hotel, for a wonderful stay.

Another fantastic stay at this wonderful hotel. We regularly visit with our Golden Retrievers and are always impressed by the exceptional service and warm welcome we receive. This time we stayed in a garden room, which was perfect. The enclosed hedged garden gave the dogs plenty of space, and the private gate with outdoor access was a great addition. We had lunch outside at the Canopy Bar & Brasserie and thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful surroundings. The hotel grounds are lovely, with plenty of walking routes both around the property and through the nearby woods. The location is excellent, with Ballycotton and its stunning cliff walk just a short drive away. Dinner in the Canopy Restaurant was excellent, with delicious food and generous portions. We also spent time enjoying drinks in Knights Bar and relaxing in both the library and outdoor garden areas. Every member of staff we encountered was friendly, professional, and eager to help, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. We are already looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommended, especially for anyone travelling with dogs.

Our stay at Castlemartyr Resort was truly exceptional from beginning to end. It was an especially meaningful visit for us, as we had the joy of getting engaged during our stay in the Presidential Suite, making the experience all the more memorable. A very special thank you to Brendan Comerford, who went above and beyond to make our stay so incredibly special. From helping to organise the engagement to ensuring every little detail was taken care of, nothing was ever too much trouble. The thoughtful touches, from the rose petals in the room to the beautifully arranged flowers and champagne, made the occasion feel truly magical. All of the staff were exceptionally warm, welcoming and attentive throughout our stay, and the service was impeccable. The food was absolutely beautiful, both at dinner at the Canopy Restaurant and at breakfast. Every aspect of our experience exceeded expectations. The setting itself is simply breathtaking, and combined with the wonderful hospitality and attention to detail, it made for a truly unforgettable weekend. Everything about the resort is just top class. The staff are so welcoming and kind, they really elevate the whole experience. Absolute gem of a hotel with fantastic facilities, amazing food and wonderful grounds. Also great location to explore the coast of east cork, the coastline and beach are less than 10 min drive
