Ok the star of the show here is the Michelin star Terry - wow just wow it was not just great food but an experience from Room To room they take you - most creative food in Ireland by far and up there with Europe ( and I’ve been to the Top 5 in Europe ) ! Rooms are luxurious and no problems at all with service. It lacked some atmosphere for me in some ways maybe as it just doesn’t give that historical feel But the artwork is sooo good Irish amazing artists feature everywhere watch out for Patrick Reilly peices - stunning ! Will if I can go for the Terrentasrinf experience though - exceptional

Beautiful location, amazing hotel with really lovely staff that made us feel very welcome. Spent a very enjoyable weekend in July - will return.

Luxurious rooms, chocolates on the pillow, an outstanding concierge service, clay pigeon shooting and more made our second trip to Castlemartyr Resort memorable. The breakfasts are scrumptious; fresh fruit, juices, honeycomb and freshly cooked hot food too. The hotel offers employment to young people in the area. The leisure facilities are outstanding; the driving range, the table tennis, the pool, the clay pigeon shooting, the large chess board outside and the beautiful walks to see the swans with their cygnets. The concierge service facilitated our visit to the HUNTED HOG restaurant in the town. This is EXCEPTIONAL in terms of wonderful food, atmosphere and value for money. The ClubHouse restaurant in the resort is worth s visit too but do book well in advance. Great atmosphere, family friendly food at good prices in a beautiful place with a lovely view. For family groups, the Brasserie doesn’t offer as good value or atmosphere and the Canopy restaurant is very expensive. The attention to detail at this hotel is exceptional. We almost left a shirt behind in one of the rooms and a member of staff took the time to come and find us hours later. Thank you for a memorable and exciting weekend. We’ll be back!

Its all in the detail, which is lacking in this place. Dated scuffed furniture in bedroom, water not hot enough for bath, sticky breakfast menu... The surroundings are wonderful, & some interiors are very well done, but for a 5 star hotel, things could have been better.

Just popped in for a facial and was looked after by the lovely Aisling. Absolutely will be returning. I was so zen afterwards and her knowledge and care she took while picking the products made me feel in good hands.
