Great hotel, staff and room! Look forward to staying here again. It is wonderful to see a hotel welcome pets. The hotel room even had a private garden for the dog. The staff were very welcoming and the grounds were beautiful.. I would recommend this hotel and area to all, there is plenty to do as a couple and with children and even with a pooch!! The towns near by have good restaurants.

Stayed in Castlemartyr in April 2018 for an anniversary, the whole experience was top quality. The bell tower restaurant was fabulous and staff couldn't be friendlier. The room was huge and we were very impressed with the effort put into keeping it modern but homely. Bathroom was stunning. We both had massages in the spa which were very relaxing and the spa facilities were second to none. They gave us free tickets to the Jameson experience in Middleton which was worth the visit we were very happy with it :D Small drawback was that there are separate spa areas for men and women such as jaccuzi sauna steam room etc. If the mens area was empty I was allowed to join my boyfriend, found this a bit bizarre and old fashioned. Price was reasonable for the quality we got and we will definitely be back soon!

Paid extra for prosecco and chocolate covered strawberries, no strawberries given and 3 phone calls to reception went unanswered. Waited 1 hour and 20 minutes for breakfast which was served to me burnt

My boyfriend and I stayed here last weekend from Friday to Sunday. We were highly impressed by the hotel as soon as we stepped inside. Check in was pleasant and quick after a long journey to Cork. On arrival to our room we found a welcome plate of chocolates and welcome note which instantly made our evening. As it was late when we arrived we decided to have a casual dinner in the pod on the golf course after a short walk around the grounds. This was casual and tasty. There was a wedding reception on Saturday afternoon which made the hotel bar and outdoor seating area a bit crowded. By 6.15pm the wedding guests had left for their function room which meant the quiet and relaxing atmosphere returned once again in the knight bar. We ate in franchinis on Saturday night. The staff were friendly and very attentive. The bedroom was spotless and towels were replaced in the morning as well as at turning down. Overall we had a very relaxing and enjoyable weekend and were sorry to check out on Sunday morning.

Far outside Cork, there is a little town called Castlemartyr. Its very pastiche, but houses a golf course on the grounds of the hotel. It feels like a club house driving up to, but offers nice walks and controlled traffic and is good for both resting as exercise. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the hotel is spotless. For the rooms, they are very good size and very luxurious, electronic controls from the bedside table for all objects in the room, lighting, curtains and anything you need manipulating. The beds are comfortable and very good. The breakfast is served in a dining hall with good views and comfortable chairs. This hotel is well worth a stay when travelling around cork, but as with many places around cork, having a car is a requirement.
