Despite some of the negative reviews, have to say our visit over 3 nights was superb. From the minute we arrived we found the staff very helpful and friendly. Used all the facilities and dinner at the bell tower on the first evening. The more casual pizza restaurant also provided excellent service. If I was to offer advice to the hotel, it would be pay attention to detail to ensure it is a 5 star experience. Little things like all the clocks in the room were set at different times, the tap plug did not seal, the restaurant bill was incorrect, tread mill screens do not work. These tiny things show poor attention to detail within a 5 star hotel. However, would strongly recommend the hotel and enjoy the sea bass as part of the breakfast menu :-)

Very nice hotel. The experience though was not what I expected. The staff except for just a couple all acted like they were at a funeral. To get a hi or any kind of eye contact was rare and we just felt like guests in a strangers house. The service was just downright poor. The hotel nice but not enough to overcome the poor service.

This was our 2nd summer to visit the Hotel and resort and it certainly did not disappoint in fact it was almost better than the first time. the weather was glorious for a start and our deluxe room was beautiful. We eat both days in the Hotel and the evenings in the Bell Tower where the food is truly delicious. We hope to make a visit to Castlemartyr an annual event. This summer two other members of our family visited and were wowed by the hospitality and service like ourselves.

Stayed here last minute as account of the hotel I originally booked was flooded. Gorgeous location with fabulous amenities. The staff were excellent and very accommodating. Highly recommend to anyone and would stay again in a heart beat.

We stayed for three nights here while touring County Cork. Two couples traveling and we had double rooms. They were the biggest hotel room that we had ever been in. There was a room with king bed, chair, desk, and dresser. The entry way had a closet and area for coffee/tea service. Then a dressing area with makeup table, adjoining a bathroom with full shower, full tub, double sink and w/c. Drapes in bedroom worked automatically, and lights were a challenge until you became familiar with how to operate them. All employees were very warm and friendly. Great gardens and castle ruins. Both restaurants were excellent as was bar. This is a five star resort and deservedly so.
