We stayed here for a couple of nights in February and really enjoyed the resort, a 4.5 from us. The grounds are lovely as are the rooms. Rooms are spacious with fantastic ensuites, huge beds which are really comfortable. The highlight was the food, we ate in the Canopy restaurant on the first night and it was top class, certainly one of the better hotel restaurants we've eaten in. The bar food was very good too. Drinks prices are not outrageous, especially for a 5 star hotel which was a nice surprise. Staff we're excellent. Overall a great stay and we'll be back. Two minor gripes, the hotel can be a little chilly in certain areas, Knights bar in particular. The pool area is OK, could be improved.

We have developed a habit of treating ourselves to a night in Castlemartyr in January each year. I have to say that everything at the hotel is maintained consistently to a high standard. Check in and out is friendly and efficient. The rooms are kept to a high standard with lovely soft towels in the bathroom and just an overall feel of luxury. Both bars, particularly the Knight's Bar, have a lovely atmosphere but we always feel more comfortable in Knight's Bar. The food in the restaurant for our evening meal was well presented and really of a superb quality. Breakfast was great although my husband felt he would like to see more of a meat and cheese selection in the continental part. However, that does not detract from the quality of the cooked breakfast. May I suggest that kippers be added to the menu though? These two things are only suggestions and, once again, we have had a lovely enjoyable stay. The friendliness of the all the staff is second to none and thank you again for a lovely stay.

We’ve just checked out this morning after a wonderful two-night stay, and I can honestly say Castlemartyr Resort exceeded our expectations in every way. From the moment we arrived, the customer service was outstanding – warm, professional, and genuinely attentive without ever feeling overbearing. Every member of staff made us feel truly welcome and looked after throughout our stay. The massages were exceptional – deeply relaxing and expertly delivered in a serene setting. Exactly what you’d hope for from a luxury spa experience. Afternoon tea was beautifully presented and delicious, with a great selection of sweet and savoury treats, enjoyed in a calm and elegant atmosphere. We made full use of the gym and swimming facilities, which were spotless, well-maintained, and never overcrowded – perfect for both relaxation and a proper workout. Breakfast each morning was another highlight: excellent quality, great variety, and attentive service that made for a relaxed and indulgent start to the day. A special mention must go to the concierge service, who kindly arranged a drop-off to The Hunted Hog, making our evening plans seamless and stress-free. That extra level of care really sets Castlemartyr apart. Overall, this was a luxurious, restorative break where every detail was thoughtfully considered. We left feeling relaxed, pampered, and already looking forward to returning. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a special getaway.
