Just back from a very enjoyable two night stay in the beautiful Castlemaytyr resort. Loved the interior of the hotel and our room was immaculate with beautiful furnishings. We dined the first evening in the bar and the second evening in the adjoining pub the hunted hog, both were very enjoyable experiences with delicious food along with very pleasant and helpful staff. Our favourite part of this hotel had to be Knights bar. It was very relaxing having a quiet drink in such opulent surroundings, would happily have stayed there for hours. The decor and ambience were absolute heaven. The only criticism we had of this lovely resort are the pool and leisure facilities which we always look forward to in every hotel we frequent. We used the pool on two occasions during our stay and were very disappointed both times. The lovely girl at the leisure reception informed us that the pool could be busy as kids were allowed use it from 10-6 everyday which seems a long duration! She suggested using the facilities outside these times but we always tend to use the leisure facilities after our breakfast as a way to relax and unwind. What we didnt expect was the place to be completely over run with kids and toddlers of all ages splashing, screeching and generally messing about. A member of staff had to repeatedly ask them to leave the jacuzzi which is meant to be adults only. We were surprised there was no separate area for kids, it felt like we had landed in center parcs, not a 5 star resort. We got chatting to another resident later that evening who had a similar complaint! We hate to complain in general and overall we thoroughly our stay and hope to be back in the near future but the pool is an issue and just didn't have the feel of a 5 star establishment.

Absolutely outstanding – a truly fantastic hotel. Our stay at the Hotel was excellent in every way. The atmosphere, service, and overall quality exceeded our expectations. We would especially like to highlight Zabir from the concierge service. We truly enjoyed chatting with him — his warm personality, attentiveness, and exceptional ability to connect with guests made our stay even more special. The only small area for improvement would be the gym: some of the equipment appears slightly worn and no longer works perfectly. Overall, an outstanding hotel that we would highly recommend and happily return to.

Had a great experience. We checked in 28th of March. Having stayed previously, I contacted Trevor and he was more than happy to assist. Trevor and Sweetny are a pleasure to deal with and are a huge asset to Castlemartyr. We ate in the Canopy Restaurant on the first night which was exceptional and the following night in the brasserie that was also a great experience. Coming from a hospitality background, I can not commend the effort Trevor goes to to make sure all guests are taken care of.

A magnificent culinary and hospitality experience. Set in a beautiful location in floral woodland surrounded by a gorgeous golf course next to a lovey village and not far from the sea.[
