10 star experience!!
Spent a fabulous day here with my mam and sister! Having travelled up from Dungarvan on the the bus, we were very kindly picked up from the village by the concerige and brought to the hotel where we had lunch followed by some very relaxing treatments at the spa. The treatment rooms are so relaxing, as are the faclities such as the vitality pool, sauna a steam room. We then went to the Brasserie for a well deserved bite to eat, and the most delicious cocktails. The wait staff are exceptional and very attentive. A massive thank you to Trevor who organised our return journey to Dungarvan that evening...you were an absolute gent and turned our 5 star experience to to a 10 star if that's possible! We cannot wait to return and do it all over again!

Disappointing experience
Room was nice but the carpet was stained and dirty. The phone didn't work and the ipad type gadget to control the lights and curtains was hit and miss. The pool area was below par as the jacuzzi, steam room and shower were out of order. The service in the restaurant was very poor and staff were not very friendly or helpful when we had an allergy issue. Definitely would not return

Nice stay
Had a relaxing time enjoying the facilities. Will hopefully be able to return soon, can highly recommend for some down time.

Very relaxing stay
Overall a very enjoyable and relaxing 3 night stay. Room was 5 star quality. Extremely spacious, well maintained. Bathroom exceptional. Quiet. One minor quibble - those awful thief-proof clothes hangers. Food, drinks and service in The Canopy Restaurant and The Brasserie extremely good. Afternoon tea and service above expectation. The Hunted Hog was a decent pub but certainly is not of the same standard as the hotel. The spa treatments were very good. “Water” facilities however were disappointing. The gym, particularly the approach to it, was in need of maintenance and “refreshing”. The grounds were exceptional. All staff were extremely friendly and great ambassadors for the hotel. Well worth a return visit.

Excellent breakaway with cockapoo
We had a fabulous time in the Castlematyr Resort, the resort personnel were helpful, courteous and helped to extend a relaxed atmosphere. The food in the resort was superb. The dog minding service of Eileen Wiggins was invaluable
