Our recent stay at Castlemartyr Resort was our second visit, this time as part of our honeymoon, and somehow it managed to exceed our already high expectations. Before we had even arrived, the exceptional service had already begun. When booking online, we couldn't find availability for one of the pet-friendly rooms, so we contacted the resort directly. A huge thank you to Shannen and Ellen, who couldn't have been more helpful. They took the time to arrange everything for us, making the booking process effortless and ensuring that Rubble and Harley could join us on our honeymoon. It was a wonderful first impression and a perfect example of the outstanding customer service we experienced throughout our stay. From the moment we arrived until the moment we reluctantly checked out, we were made to feel genuinely welcome. Eileen at the Front Office and the entire Concierge team were outstanding throughout our stay. Their warmth, professionalism and attention to detail made such a difference, and nothing was ever too much trouble. A special thank you also to Brendan for the thoughtful handwritten welcome note and the lovely treats waiting in our room. Shortly after we settled in, a bottle of Prosecco arrived to help us celebrate our honeymoon - a wonderful surprise and such a thoughtful gesture. Whether it was arranged by Eileen, Brendan or both, it perfectly reflected the outstanding hospitality we experienced throughout our stay. One of the things we love most about Castlemartyr is that our two pups, Rubble and Harley, are made to feel just as welcome as we are. They absolutely loved exploring the beautiful grounds, and it's rare to find a luxury resort that is so genuinely dog-friendly. Being able to share part of our honeymoon with them made our stay even more special. The food throughout our visit was superb. Breakfast each morning offered an excellent selection of high-quality produce, but what really stood out was the wonderful breakfast team. Their warm, attentive service started every day perfectly and made breakfast something we genuinely looked forward to. We also enjoyed dining in the Canopy Brasserie, where Ruan and his team provided first-class service. They struck the perfect balance of being attentive without ever being intrusive, creating a relaxed and enjoyable dining experience every time. A real highlight of our stay was our evening at Terre. From the moment we arrived, every aspect of the experience was flawless. Aisling ensured the evening flowed seamlessly, making us feel relaxed and exceptionally well looked after. The sommelier was outstanding - his passion and knowledge of wine elevated the entire experience, with every pairing complementing the dishes beautifully. Each course was exquisitely presented and full of incredible flavour, a true credit to the chef and the talented kitchen team. It was, without question, one of the finest dining experiences we've ever had. No honeymoon would have been complete without a visit to the spa, and it certainly didn't disappoint. I had a massage with Aisling, who was warm, professional and incredibly skilled. It was one of the most relaxing treatments I've experienced and the perfect way to unwind during our stay. What continues to set Castlemartyr Resort apart is its people. From the first phone call, to the warm welcome. The outstanding dining experiences , the relaxing spa treatment, and finally our farewell at check-out, every interaction reflected genuine care, pride and hospitality. It's the people who make this resort so special. Thank you to Shannen, Ellen - reservation team, Eileen, Brendan, the Front Office and Concierge teams, Ruan and his team, the wonderful breakfast team, Aisling, the team at Terre and the talented chefs, Aiisling in the spa, and everyone else who made our honeymoon so memorable. You all played a part in creating memories we'll treasure for years to come. We left with full hearts, wonderful memories, and two very happy pups - Rubble and Harley, who were just as reluctant to leave as we were. We are already looking forward to our third visit.

Fabulous week with 3 generations of family in Castlemartyr resort. We stayed in a 3 bed gatelodge. This accommodation is right on the road so can be very noisy. While we got used to it, we would know to book a lodge futher inside the resort on future. That said it was spotlessly clean. The facilities and food in the hotel are fabulous. Art and sculptures lovely around the hotel. Garryvoe beach is down the road. 30 mins to cobh and middleton even nearer. Will be back!
