From the moment we arrived at the Castlemartyr Resort, it was clear we were in for a truly exceptional stay. From beginning to end, our holiday was nothing short of fantastic. Even our dog, Harris, was warmly welcomed as a valued guest. We were thoughtfully allocated a beautiful room with its own enclosed garden; an ideal and practical touch for those late-night doggy moments. Our concierge, Paul, greeted us with genuine warmth and professionalism. He kindly assisted with our rather generous amount of luggage and parked our car, a particularly welcome service after a long day of work and travel. It immediately set the tone for the attentive hospitality we would experience throughout our stay. Check-in was seamless, friendly, and efficient. Our room was spacious, elegant, and finished to an excellent standard, offering the perfect blend of comfort and luxury. Dinner on our first evening in the The Brasserie at Castlemartyr was a wonderful start to the stay. The atmosphere was relaxed yet refined, and the Seasonal Bramble - featured as the cocktail of the month, was beautifully crafted and thoroughly enjoyable. Throughout our five-night stay, the level of service was consistently outstanding. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming at every interaction. We experienced only one minor maintenance issue with our room, which was resolved immediately and without any disruption. In truth, this was some of the finest hotel service we have encountered in recent years. Breakfast each morning was a highlight. The quality of the food was exceptional, with a well-curated menu that made a longer stay particularly enjoyable. We sampled a wide selection of dishes during the week, and each one was excellent, complemented by attentive and friendly service. The resort grounds themselves are immaculate and beautifully maintained. Our quiet pre-breakfast walks with Harris became a cherished part of each day watching herons and egrets gliding across the lake while a woodpecker tapped rhythmically in the trees. It felt wonderfully peaceful, almost as though nature itself had been thoughtfully arranged for our enjoyment.

stayed for 3 nights and it was excellent. leisure centre was quiet and clean. food and service in restraunts were as good as I have experienced. front desk staff sorted any thing we needed. on the down side the usb port was located behind tv and was very arkward to access also although we placed the room to be serviced sign on door for most of the day it was only when we returned that housekeeping staff would call and ask if we needed room cleaned, this happened alot over 2 days which meant we did not have our room cleaned for trip.

It was our first time coming to the Castlemartyr resort and it exceeded beyond expectations. From the moment we arrived, the staff couldn’t do enough for us. We were looked after exceptionally well by our concierge Gerald, who gave us a tour around the resort and walked us to our suite. Later another staff member arrived with a sweet tray for me with a birthday card. The room was beyond expectation, spotless ,luxurious and comfortable. The hotel itself is on stunning grounds that cater for all ages, exceptionally maintained and beautiful to explore. We went for dinner in Ballymaloe and a taxi was organised for us. The hotel is extremely peaceful and ambient. It was the most relaxing break we have had to date. Thank you so much to Gerald, and all the staff that made this stay so special for us. We could not recommend this venue enough. Such a little treat of a stay!
