End of season is nice if you like peace and quiet

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 months ago

The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. We were grateful with there help in organising days out for our family. Note as the resort is quite far out, expect to be the first pick up and last drop off. Due to attending in their last week, the resort being half empty, and many activities and most of the resort ala carte restaurants had closed for the season, plus having to relocate for our last day. We enjoyed an free upgrade. The resort itself is spacious and we liked the private beach and bar. It did feel quite exclusive with the resort being quiet, which was nice. Fully inclusive was great as it included drinks and snacks which was nice. The all inclusive buffet food is standard fair and after a couple of days a night out is required. The remaining ala carte restaurant was good. It was clear they had had a busy season as the resort in places was looking a little care worn (hence closing early for maintenance). I would certainly look to go again in a busier season to see what it was like when all the facilities and activities were up and running.

My own piece of heaven.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 months ago

I was very impressed with my stay. My bungalow was well positioned for privacy while still open to enjoy the natural surroundings. I loved having my own little piece of heaven amid beautiful flowers & foliage. I even loved the walks I took to & from meals (a whole other wonderful). Walks long enough to appreciate the property but short enough whenever I was ready to escape back to heaven. The various rooms within the buildings reminded me of art found in magazines. The creative attention given to pleasing all five senses was apparent and I commend the resort staff for a job well done. The only regret that I have is more cultural than anything. I am saddened that it seemed difficult to make a connection with the local population. I am accustomed to meeting new people who offer a demeanor that invites others to want to learn about them & their community; their culture. However, that was Greece in general, NOT the resort. If anyplace offered the beauty & comfort to make a trip more than dreamed, it is Out of The Blue Resort & Spa.

Stay away from this hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 7 months ago

Stay away !!! it is not a resort it is a simple hotel. It is very big, the maintenance is very low. The food is horrible, the rooms (we need to switch the rooms because there was a terrible liking problem after the rain) are not clean, full of bugs and mosquitoes. we had a room with a private pool. the pool was dirty with lots of leaves and mosquitoes. It's not recommended at all.

Book with caution

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 7 months ago

We stayed here for two nights in a ‘luxury ‘ one bed maisonette with private pool . This hotel is vast, the reception is extremely dated ( staff helpful) a lot of the resort is in need of updating. We had issues with our room , shower and bath not functioning properly , pool not cleaned , bed hard and uncomfortable ( I understand this is personal preference) we travel a lot and this is a 5 * hotel . It really should be a 3 * hotel . Breakfast is in a huge new facility with hundreds of people the choice is ok . 2 restaurants to book on site both expensive and not outstanding. A nice bay close by with better restaurants and more reasonable . The staff offered us another room and complimentary spa entrance however we just kept finding things were not right . We checked out early .
