Reviews for Aranwa Cusco Boutique Hotel
The Aranwa Cusco Boutique Hotel was fantastic. Our room was clean spacious quite and very comfortable. The staff could not have been more helpful, they had great ideas for us during our 4 days so we could see and do as much as possible. During our stay the city had two strikes going on which made it extremely difficult to get to Manchu Picchu and other sights due to trains not running. The hotel manager worked personally on rearranging our day trips to make sure we could make it there and back safe and sound. She had hotel staff escort us to the train/agency office at night to make sure we were taken care of. The restaurant in the hotel was delicious and we enjoyed the Coco-Tea as well. Make sure you walk around the hotel, the public spaces have wonderful little rooms & hallways with fantastic art.
This hotel is in a XVll century colonial home which , was built on top of an Inca building. The original Inca walls still very visible. There were seven of us including two children age 10 and 12. The rooms are spacious with a big jacuzzi type tub in the middle of the bathroom. The shower is great I guess its call rain forest shower, the water comes out from the top and sides of the shower. Is a bit tricky at first but, we called the front desk and in no time we had some one come out and showed us how to get it going. The wifi was fine no problem there. We had a late lunch one day ( we stay 3 nights) had a mixto, a hot ham and cheese sandwich, it was excellent but our server, I believe his name was Alfonso, knew the history of the building In side out and took it upon himself to shared with us, very informative. The manager Romi, could not have been more gracious and helpful to make our stay more enjoyable. We had an early flight the day we checked out but, the hotel had seven breakfast boxes waiting for us when we checked out before 5 am, that's what I call service. The hotel is centrally located and goes Without saying: impecable clean. In a nut shell: very enjoyable stay. Would I recommend this hotel? You bet.

Unique experience and surrounded by rich history and antiques as you walk down the hallways. Rooms are huge and luxurious. You don't want leave. You are one block away from the square so very convenient location.

In room Wifi speed is slow, like turtle runing speed, I called 3 times in a row for my family stay of 2 nights. front desk never come, just say he will check and update server. But so called update server, speed is still the same. Reconnecing is the word shoing up on computer screen, etc etc. No further action is followed, or taken by front desk. Like everyone else today, I am the one who needs WiFi speed needs normal plus, this hotel is not even normal. This is a very old hotel, this morden facility needs to be updated, not sitting there like old time. Another wierd thing: shower door is so so tight, handle bar is short and slipper, you can not pull the handle bare to open the door, even used with a cloth to prevent slippery. I tried to open this door while I am naked and ready to take a shower. Then I have no other choice to call front desk for help. When hotel helper comes, I told him straightly: these kind of issued must be reported by house keep lady every day to manager. I know this is not her job, but very easy to report manager. A manager will never come to each room to check this kind of small thing. Do not let customers to report to you until he check in. That is why I said this is very old hotel. Another thing about shower room, no spot on the wall to have a shampoo and condition holder on the wall, You have to bend youself to pick up shampoo and conditioner. Old men n women can not do this at so tight shower room space, even young guys hard too. Not sure why 5 star is still rated in trip advisor. I just came back from this hotel, I would never stay in Cusco Aranwa Boutique Hotel again if I go back. I overheard there is Westin in Cusco. will consider always Westin if I knew there is one over that Cusco city. (note: my agency booked this Aranwa for me).

We spent three nights here. The location is excellent, two blocks away from downtown Cuzco. Their restaurant appeared empty most days for lunch and dinner. I guess most people eat somewhere else. We ordered room service once and the pizza was below average and the ham and cheese sandwich salty and forgettable. Their breakfast buffet was average, like every other hotel offers. Regarding the service, this was below average for a 5-star hotel. Our room was missing towels every day of our stay and the complimentary water was missing too. Still a safe and clean place to stay but I would not eat here and lower their rating to 4-star.
