We stayed at this hotel as part of a tour. The hotel is charming with comfortable beds and spacious rooms. The best part of our experience was the staff. They went beyond what was expected and made our stay great. Elevation is Cusco is an issue and the rooms have oxygen piped in. They will also bring you extra oxygen if you are having difficulty breathing. If you visit Cusco you should consider this hotel!

This hotel is like a museum that you can actually visit by means of an audio guide while waiting for your check in to be made. An outstanding place where you are truly enjoying heritage and stories. It reflects truly elegance and the new concept of luxury (not flashy or luxurious). Service is extremely good. They have oxigenised rooms so that we did not suffer at all from the altitude. One of the best hotels I have stayed in in the past 10 years!

We received a friendly and efficient welcome to this hotel by the front desk staff. We were having difficulty acclimatising to the altitude and all the staff did their best to help us. The restaurant staff were friendly and welcoming and the food was good. After 4 days we went off to Machu Picchu and returned 3 days later for one more night. The last night was no different to the first night. If we ever return to Cusco we would have no hesitation in staying here

This hotel was booked for us by a travel agent when my mother, brother, and I went on a two week trip to Peru. We stayed in other 5 star hotels that the travel agent had booked for us, because we traveled to several parts of Peru, but this hotel was by far our favorite. The interior of the hotel is gorgeous, it's like being inside a museum. The amenities inside the room was great, the best thing about it was having A/C. That may sound like a trivial thing, but other hotels we stayed in had no A/C and I would be miserably hot when going to sleep at night. The hotel itself is only a couple blocks away from the main hub of Cusco where the tourists go. It is easy to walk to most places, which you might have to end up doing because trying to take a taxi in the awful Cusco traffic to get to a restaurant or someplace else is a nightmare. The hotel is also off a side street so when you exit it it is not congested with a lot of traffic from tourists and cars, which was nice. Most of the staff speak english, so if you only speak broken Spanish you can communicate with the staff in English. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I could go into more detail about how great this hotel was, but other reviewers have already done so. I would highly recommend this hotel for those staying in Cusco!

Everything about this hotel is exceptional. From being greeted at the entrance to the attentive help at Reception - nothing is too much trouble. The hotel is full of VII and VIII Century furniture, paintings and artefacts, adding to the ambience and feeling that you are in a special place. The audio guide provided by Reception enabled us to stroll around the hotel at leisure, learning about the main pieces in the collection. Our room was very comfortable as was the bathroom, complete with jacuzzi. Excellent quality of food. The hotel lunch and evening menus are excellent and reasonably priced for the star rating of Aranwa. The location of the hotel is ideal for walking around the town and to the many nearby restaurants, cafes and shops. Thank you for an excellent stay and for making us so welcome.
