We had a wonderful stay and I wished we could have stayed a little longer. The customer service and treatment was like something from a bygone age - we have become immune to impersonal cold hotels so it was a real treat to experience warm and genuine staff here in Cusco. I cannot fault this hotel.

We just spent three nights at Aranwa in Cusco- 2 before commencing our 4-day trek on the Inka Trail to Machu Picchu, and then again after the trek, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay both times. The hotel happily stored our bags while we were away, and the bags were waiting in our room upon our return. Great service! The staff couldn't have been friendlier and went out of their way to help . A special thank you to Emerson. The hotel is also a museum with beautiful paintings and artifacts throughout, so make sure to walk around. And there are stunning chandeliers everywhere. The Aranwa is right in the centre of the city, off a small square and a very short walk to the main square (Plaza de Armas) which made it an ideal location for walking to shops, restaurants, the cathedral and museums. We enjoyed the buffet breakfasts, and ordered room service the night we got back after the trek. It was fine- nothing special but arrived hot and in a timely manner. We stayed in 2 different rooms and the second was more spacious and we liked it better. Room #220! (The first was #103, which was nice but compared to the other it felt darker and smaller). All in all we would highly recommend the Aranwa (a local Peruvian hotel chain) in Cusco if you enjoy a small hotel, which is impeccably clean with excellent staff. They have other properties in Peru and we hope to visit them on a future trip to Peru.

This was a Wonderful location. We liked the quick and personal service of the reception team and Emerson was very polite. The bartender, Carlos, makes a great Pisco sour! The antiques used to decorate the hotel were very interesting. The room was magnificent.

The hotel feels like a blend of stately home and museum with extraordinary artworks everywhere - you will want to take pictures! And to top it all, The service is perfect - very friendly and helpful. We stayed twice (before and after our visit to the Sacred Valley) and were delighted with both rooms. We look forward to staying at the Aranwa again!
