This boutique hotel is like staying at a museum. All throughout there are pieces of artwork that transport you back in time. The staff is very attentive. Our room was beautiful and the oxygen that was piped into the room made sleeping much more comfortable in this high altitude area of the world. We were given a coupon for a free drink at their bar for the first evening. They did have a lovely bar that served drinks and small plates. We did experience a few missteps. Upon arrival, our room was not ready and we waited patiently but nothing seemed to be happening. Finally they revealed that the room that was assigned to us had not been vacated. After awhile, they gave us a new room that they indicated was an upgrade. On the second night of our stay, an individual in an adjoining room was smoking(not allowed in this hotel). This smoke filtered into our room. We contacted the front desk and they did speak to the person involved. However, in all our travels at all types of hotels/motels, this issue has never come up. Also, one should realize that their checkout is 9 AM. This came as a surprise to us as we have never encountered such an early checkout time anywhere in the world. They were gracious enough to allow us to stay until noon. Our maid service was a bit uneven. For example, we used the bath salts that were provided on the first night for the lovely whirlpool bath. However, they were never replaced again. We did mention this to the front desk upon departing and they had no response. Towels were not replaced completely each night. For example, one day the washcloths were replaced but not the hand towels. On another day, the hand towels were replaced but not the wash cloths. It made no sense to us. The hotel stay comes with a lovely buffet breakfast and eggs are prepared to order.

This hotel used to be a colonial house, over 500 years old. It is gorgeous inside and the boutique nature of it means you have exceptional staff greeting and looking after you. They have a restaurant and lounge. Huge whirlpool, heated tile floors in the bathroom. It was just perfect and so romantic.
