Boutique Classic Hotel in Heart of Cusco

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

Aranwa is like staying in a gorgeous museum in the heart of all the action in Cusco. Just a few steps away from Plaza de Armas, good food, welcome Pisco Sours, and a helpful staff. We loved it! We were comfortable and cared for. Couldn’t ask for more.

Wonderful place to stay near Cusco central square.

Wonderful hotel with very friendly staff. Bartender (welcome drinks) was very attentive while giving us space. Breakfast options were fabulous, fresh fruit, made to order eggs/pancakes, hot foods, multiple juices, and more. We had the same waiter each day (Antonio), and he was great. The rooms themselves were comfortable and we had a great walk in shower along with a jacuzzi tub. The location is super close to the main square, but not on a major street (so quiet). Also a 10 minute walk from the train station that takes you to MP. Overall, just a fabulous place and location.

Unbeatable Comfort, Luxury, Service & Location!

Incredible hotel with impeccable service! This boutique hotel is a 16th century mansion that doubles as an art museum, and it was gorgeous. Spotlessly clean, wonderful amenities (heated tile floors, towel warmers, and massage jet tubs), and truly attentive staff. They went above and beyond to make sure our needs were met - oxygen tank service & bringing tea when the altitude got the better of me; helping book taxi service to the airport; and giving great recommendations for local dining and shopping. Great location very near the main plaza. Buffet breakfast was wonderful, and the restaurant dinners were too. This was among the best hotels I've stayed at in my life!

The building itself was glorious. Took you back to the “Old Cusco” The food made you wish to stay here for ever The staff made us feel we were their only customers. They are so friendly, courteous and knowledgeable

Good but with some things needing improvement

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

A very well situated hotel, amidst the old Cusco, making use of an old palace from -I guess- a Spanish potentate. The place is full of paintings and sculptures giving it the aspect of a museum dedicated to colonial times. As it happens everywhere in Peru, the staff is incredibly helpful and friendly, even if at certain times (say, refilling coffee during breakfast) they may be a little slow-going. As far as my experience goes, the place stands its own with regard to comfort and quietness, also the breakfast is fine. My only complaints are technological ones: I advise the management to make a thorough review of the AC framework which didn't work good in several occasions. Also, it would be advisable to have more wall sockets European style.
