About the Hotel

Nestled in Peru's Sacred Valley, a land once belonging to the ancient Inca Empire, you will find a stunning riverfront resort basking in this remote location. Belmond Hotel Rio Sagrado is a place where past meets present, showcasing streamlined rooms that rest beneath timbered and beam ceilings. No detail is left to chance, so expect the unexpected. You will discover stylized retreats that pay homage to 13th-century Incan design, with textured walls that are cloaked in warm colors, wooden floors, terraces that gaze across the unspoiled land, and breathtaking valley and river views. Slightly tilted windows that make the most of the sun's rays are masterfully positioned above the oversize shower, creating the illusion of being in the great outdoors.

Belmond Rio Sagrado: We'll Be Stargazing

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

From the welcoming sound of the shell horn to the detailed monomgrammed flowers on the staff uniforms, Rio Sagrado can read your mind, body and spirit and anticipate your every movement. You are fully immersed in nature on one of the most beautiful properties in the world and can enjoy your privacy and feel like you are the only guests around, when you are actually among many other guests sharing a similar experience. Hikes are out your backdoor and then easy to relax by the pool with alpacas in the distance. Romantic, Peaceful, and the 5 Star Service that I look for in brands. I'd highly recommend the Lomo Peruvian Dish for Dinner, the Steam and Cold Shower at Spa, Stargazing from the Hot Tub in the Spa at Night and tossing your yoga mat on your private deck to create your own class among the hummingbirds and floral grounds. I will send all friends and clients. I have never slept so well and my spirit has never felt so revived.

Top Notch

An amazing property for a family. Top notch amenities, food, people, ambiance, weather, activities. It is totally worth it. Plus the Hiram Bingham train station being at the property and the services adds a wow factor without a doubt.

Pure serenity

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 months ago

The location, the property, the food, the service, room amenities, pillow menu, comforts and quality were outstanding. The landscape and scenery were stunning, and the infinity pool views and heated temperature pure perfection, and the twice daily Alpaca baby bottle feeding was one of the ultimate highlight experiences. The spa was beautifully serene, intimate with lovely views and the deep tissue 90 minute massage was the best I have ever experienced worldwide, technique incredible!

A little bit of paradise in the Sacred Valley

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 months ago

Stunning gardens & views over the Urubamba River, a little bit of heaven in the Sacred Valley with impeccable service. Our room had a large window/French doors onto a patio overlooking the gardens & river, what a view! definitely do not need any tv when you have a view like this (and you could get the same view from the shower!). The service was impeccable as you would expect from Belmond and the food was delicious. A little bonus: you can feed the baby alpacas every day on site. Another bonus if you have booked the Hiram Bingham, you can catch the train straight from the hotel dedicated station, seemless and stylish. Thoroughly recommend for any stay in the Sacred Valley.

A magical escape

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 months ago

This is a gorgeous property with exceptional staff, food and spa. I cannot recommend it highly enough! If you are looking to have a reset on a busy, noisy city life, this property is for you. I will be dreaming of the breakfasts, so amazing! The massages at the spa were incredible. Everyone is very hard working and they truly care about the comfort of the guests. I am so happy I had the opportunity to visit Rio Sagrado!
