due to some overbooking the management reserved for us the top suite of the house.. overwhelming luxury and space. unfortunately our time was too little to enjoy thoroughly. compliments. the hotal is a historic site and was a monastery in ancient days. you can feel it everywhere.

I enjoyed a wonderful stay at this hotel, a beautiful place and very elegant hotel. An ideal location enabling you to walk to all the sights. Fabulous dinning and great service, the team were always on hand to offer their local knowledge.

The hotel is beautiful and the service is exceptional. We stayed at the hotel on 3 separate occasions on our trip, before our Salkantay trek, after our Salakantay trek, and after a stay at the Skylodge. We were allowed to store our bags there in between each stay and when we arrived back each time, our bags had already been taken back to our room before we even checked in. Also, checkout was not necessary after the first and second stay which was very convenient. The oxygen in the room was very helpful and the free minibar (especially the free water since hydration is so important at that altitude) was very convenient. We would definitely return to this hotel again if our travels ever bring us back to Cusco in the future.

Our travel agent had booked an upgraded room at our request. Upon arrival we were given another upgrade, the Presidential Suite, which was enormous and beautiful. This hotel is only 4 years old and is a magnificent restoration of a colonial convent. Outstanding service. Our butler came to the room and made the best Pisco sour I have ever tasted. Quite a production. At turndown we were greeted by two adorable alpaca hot water bottles tucked into our gigantic bed. Bigger than a king, “Inca Size”. Don’t miss the great massage in the spa. After 2 days of hiking in Machu Picchu, this was essential. Food in the hotel restaurant was wonderful. Wish we had arranged to stay another day or two.

Wonderful place and I would love to stay here again, if they picked up the whole town and moved it down 3000 feet! The service was excellent and the dont miss much. Case in point we left luggage for one night to visit Machu Picchu. When returned to the hotel, our luggage was already in the room, we got upgraded, there as a little snack, etc. I also had the butler, draw a bath for me with all kinds of herbal items to help sleep better. I’m not sure it helped, but it was fun to have this done for me! The breakfast spread was excellent except for scrabbled eggs - they were very loose and not a favorite of mine. However, they also eggs benedit and other choices, so if that is my main critism, that is great. Worth the cost.
