I loved this hotel. It is wonderful. I had a suite with pool view so I could almost jump directly from my room in the heated pool. The suite was ver spacious and I appreciated the oxygen supply in the room. The bath tub and the separate shower were very large and very comfortable. The breakfast buffet had a large range of fruits, cold and hot foods, breads, croissants, cereals, juices and you could even ask for other items. I loved the atmosphere in the breakfast room when somebody was playing lovely harp music. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I really appreciated all their efforts to make my stay really very comfortable. I did not lunch nor dine in the hotel because there are a lot of good restaurants in Cusco which are far less expensive than the restaurant of the hotel.

We stayed for 2 nights at this historic property and absolutely loved it! Its location, service and surroundings are unique and special. Many of the original details of this former nunnery were left intact, yet contained all the modern conveniences that one would expect of a 5-star property. Unfortunately, the thermostat in the initial suite we were assigned was not working so we had to move to another room. The gracious staff were very apologetic and handled this glitch with perfection, offering to comp our room service dinner from the first night. The pool area is stunning and their breakfast buffet is plentiful and delicious. I only wished they had a fitness room!

Also owned by Belmond. We stayed in Lima with them (tops), at Machu Picchu (Sanctuary Lodge; okay at best). This is a gorgeous property. We have a beautiful suite connecting to a smaller suite for kids. Comes with a butler (Daniel), who is amazing. Everything is taken care of. They pump oxygen through the air conditioning system for a better nights rest😀. Told Daniel this morning that I was disappointed with the pillows; in the afternoon there were sets of new pillows on the bed. The butler also keeps a close eye on what one likes. This afternoon there were plenty of fresh mango's for my wife and kids. Laundry was done at night in a couple of hours (back in the room when we returned from dinner), and everyone's sneakers came back cleaned like they were new. Great service. For sure the best of the three Belmond's we stayed at, where the Sanctuary Lodge was really poor at best. From what I've seen from Belmond, they have fantastic taste in design and luxury. Makes me feel that since they are the only show at Machu Picchu that they don't really care. Only thing that did not work as it should at Palacio Nazarena was the air conditioning. The air conditioning in the elevator works better than in our two suites. Also, right behind our bed(room), but literally on the other side of the wall, is the storage room for the housekeeping staff. So the towels, sheets, etc. So at 7:00 am you get woken up because of the housekeeping staff. And this, literally 50 cm away from your pillow in the presidential suite. Makes no sense. Move those towels elsewhere. But a great property.

Attention to detail, spectacular facilities and unbeatable service. My wife and three kinds had the time of our lives in this hotel. The location is perfect, the staff in incredibly nice (Victor is the best) and the food is delicious. I am looking forward to come back. You will not regret it.

At the risk of seeming repetitive- this is yet another high quality establishment from the stable of the Belmond Hotel group- and reaffirms just how good these people are in managing and running the hotels that they have. I like the discrete hotel entrance and I like the layout of the hotel being as it is set around various internal courtyards in the Spanish style- all very elegantly done, beautifully maintained and kept spotlessly clean. Unfortunately we arrived late in Cusco on our first night and only had time for a two night stay at the Palacio Nazarenas. No matter- our rooms were really excellent- very well appointed, very comfortable beds, and very good bathrooms. Nothing to fault here. We had breakfast in the hotel and the breakfast ‘spread’ was very good. The swimming pool was great- maybe a touch on the warm side- but better than being too cold. We used the bar- which looks out over the pool- so that all works well and is a relaxing place to enjoy the traditional ‘Pisco Sour’. We didn’t eat in the restaurant as we tried some recommended external restaurants for the lunch and dinner that we had time to take in Cusco. The hotel is well located being just a short walk to the main Cusco square where most of the action seems to centre around. Cusco is a delightful city – well worth a visit and the Palacio Nazarenas suits admirably as a hotel from which to explore.
