What a beautiful place to stay! We really enjoyed our three nights here. The rooms and bathrooms are enormous and gorgeous, and also have lovely porches. The heated pool was wonderful. The bar area was fantastic and the pisco sours are great! I was so impressed that one night by the pool my husband was swimming and I was sitting in a lounge chair and we were enjoying a drink. And the woman who made our drinks came out to ask if we'd like blankets because it was chilly out. So there we are enjoying snacks, a pisco sour and a lovely soft warm blanket in the 60 degree weather next to the warm heated pool. Really every aspect of the service here is incredible. We were very impressed and would definitely stay here again. The location is also great, walking distance to the big plaza, the artists area and many great restaurants and shops.

This was a lovely hotel in Cusco, well appointed rooms and friendly staff. Good location, walkable to several restaurants. The only downside was noise as the room was facing the Square. Otherwise, this would have been 5 stars

I stayed here only one night ... this historic, peaceful oasis. I so want to return. The rooms are beyond luxurious; the setting idyllic. When not soaking in the giant tub, or enjoying the gifted cheeses and delights from the minibar, you can stroll the courtyards and gardens, swim in the heated out door pool, or listen to a solo musician playing native songs on a harp-like instrument in the breakfast room. Or meet an indigenous artisan working her loom. Or unwind in the spa. Or meander through this palacio and enjoy the murals painted by cloistered nuns, former residents of this extraordinary space. On and on. This hotel is rare and special. If you are in Cusco (a wonderful destination on its own) and want to spurge, this lovely idyll will not disappoint.

In the heart of old Cusco, a block away from the Plaza des Armas, you will find both Belmond hotels side-by-side. One in an ancient monastery. One in an ancient Convent of the Nazarenes. Nazarenas is about a quarter the size of Monastery and it's intimacy, layout, and the uniqueness of each room make it spectacular. The entrance faces on the courtyard, is 90 degrees to the MAP restaurant, and quite small as hotel entrances go because, as you come in the doors, you have reception and check-in immediately on your left, a cozy seating area in front of you, and the concierge in a separate room to your right, but walk through and you are in a gorgeous courtyard from the 14th and 15th century. Next to you, on your left is a chapel, in front of you a fountain, and around you the rooms. Walk through that courtyard, to the next courtyard, for another grouping of rooms and, high above you, to your left on the terrace, you'll find the dining-room, the bar, the spa, the pool, and the last group of rooms. Every room is unique and has supplemental oxygen so do NOT open your windows for fresh air, only to take advantage of the light and the views. Our room was 109 in the corner- you walked into a spacious living room area, following through to the bedroom, following through to a very spacious, elegant bathroom. One of our group had room 209 which was upstairs in the corner away from us in our courtyard with hugely high ceilings (being at the top of the building)- you walked into that living room, then into the dressing room bathroom, and then on to the bedroom. And the third in our group had room 103 in the first courtyard - you walked in to a bedroom-living-room combination separated by a pop-up television cabinetry, and then into the spacious bathroom. Every room comes with its own 24-hour butler service, which came in very handy for some of us. The breakfast buffet is in a solarium room extension of the dining room and beautiful, tasty, diverse for guest tastes, and excellent. Next to it, the bar is in an older space with a glass wall. Both faced 2 sides of the pool and were washed in light. I would have to say one of my favorite hotels in all the world.
