This place is impressive - truly magnificent. Gorgeous spacious and comfortable room, with a fabulous view overlooking the pool courtyard, and beyond, the stunning hillsides of Cusco. Large, very nice bathroom with lots of storage. Included minibar is convenient. All the courtyards are beautiful, and the pool area is gorgeous. You could spend hours just walking around the paths and gardens appreciating all the landscaping and beauty. It is very serene here. The staff is super super friendly and helpful from the front desk to the restaurant waitstaff. They gave helpful recommendations from restaurants to pharmacies! The daily breakfast was great and the harpist was fantastic! I can truly say I have never stayed in a place like this before, and this is one of the top properties at which I have ever had the pleasure to stay, and I will not soon forget the lovely time spent here.

We stayed at Palacio Nazarenas during out trip to Cusco. What a beautifully rendered structure this place was. And its front doors open from a lovely courtyard too! We were told it used to be a convent. The staff were consistently gracious and warm. In many small ways, they made us feel they were after our comfort and enjoyment during our stay. Our room was comfort and style personified, with touches of old world amenities without being overdone. Whoever designed the rooms had excellent taste. I could just chill in the room for days if I wanted down time. They served excellent breakfasts that were part of the package. We did dine at their restaurant one evening. The food was Peruvian but with a twist here and there of modern creativity. As always, the service was impeccable. They also had a good wine selection. We had fun walking through their walkways and corners. It was a treat to stay there. My only lament is the noise of the cars passing through outside our bedroom window. Even the wood shutters in place, the noise still managed to get through. For those in our group whose rooms were on a different side of the building, they had peace and quiet. Oh well!

I must confess that I hadn't even heard of the Belmond brand of hotels as there are none where I live (no, I haven't been living under a rock, just the Middle East). But I am extremely glad we chose them after it was recommended by our travel agent at Kuoda Travel. We were booked in their Inca Studio Suites and were treated like royalty the minute we stepped in the hotel. They even gave the women flowers before we were shown to our rooms by our butler. As soon as we stepped inside our room, my husband and I froze in awe. The room was beautiful! From the Incan stone wall to the bathroom with heated floors, it was hands down one of the best hotel rooms I've ever stayed at. You can call up a butler to draw you a relaxing bath or have one come to your room and show you how to make a pisco sour... which btw, was probably the best pisco sour I had in Peru. My friends and I didn't want to leave! We were even joking about how our next vacation should just be about touring the different Belmond hotels around the world... although now that I think about it, that's not a bad idea.

This is a beautiful hotel which reflects the local cultural heritage which greatly adds to the experience. There are remnants of the original Inca site, fragments of old frescos and lovely art pieces to discover as you wander around the hotel. The view from my third floor room over the pool and and the mountains beyond was stunning at nightime. My bedroom was a very good size with a KS canopied bed. There are multiple charging units for your electronic gadets and all the drinks and snacks in the room were complimentary. A butler service is available if you wish to avail yourself of it. The bathroom is large and had both a bath and large shower. The water was hot and water pressure excellent. Dinner in the restaurant was very good and likewise the breakfast with a large variety of items to choose from at the buffet. I was a little surprised that they didn't appear to cook eggs to order. To fully appreciate the hotel you really need to have a bit of spare time so that you can soak up its atmosphere, sit by the bar or lounge around the pool. I felt I had short-changed myself a bit because I was actually out exploring most of the time and therefore couldn't avail myself of everything it had to offer.
