It's hard to know where to start. I've stayed at many Ritz Carltons & Four Seasons hotels and this is as good if not better. It's a beautiful setting, thoughtfully laid out and well situated to enjoy the city of Cusco. Hotel staff walk you to your room and gave me a small bouquet of fresh flowers when we arrived. Inca walls are visible in the architecture of the hotel, and there are glass panels in the public areas to view the ancient stonework below your feet. We had a beautiful room with a huge bathroom- with heated floors! The bed was very comfortable and linens are the best quality. A stock of snacks and drinks, (including 12 yr old rum!), was included with the room we booked. The staff is warm and very accommodating. They have a lot of pride in their local culture and it is visible in all kinds of unique and special touches like charming little dolls to signal for cleaning service or do not disturb. (Included a photo.). The breakfast buffet was fresh, delicious and had a variety of items. It's ancient history, with old world charm and all the comforts of modern life all in one place. It's definitely worth the splurge.

This hotel has the wow factor! Ideally located in the centre of Cusco with the most charming helpful staff you could wish for. We unfortunately were only able to have one night at this most beautiful hotel but we would gladly have spent an eternity here. It has a very cool yet contemporary vibe. It is peaceful and serene. We had a suite overlooking the swimming pool with a beautiful balcony and exceptional views out over the rooftops. It was especially pretty as the sun went down over Cusco. This hotel has a fabulous butler service, where nothing is too much trouble, including having Pisco sour lessons in your room , with your butler. We unfortunately did not avail ourselves of this service as we were a little tired after a busy few days, however we managed to enjoy a quiet night in a lovely suite. The suite had the usual Belmond exceptionally comfortable beds and pillows a lovely sofa and dining area . A great Great balcony and a fantastic large bathroom with gorgeous bath big enough for two, a shower and large dressing room, luggage rack area. Breakfast was a gastronomic delight, my how much weight we have put on eating Belmond breakfasts oops. They had the usual array of fresh fruits , pastries, breads, lush smoked trout , quails eggs! To die for, and the most stunning Eucalyptus sugar which I just had to sprinkle on my fruit . The staff were engaging and completely delightful. Belmond have covered themselves in glory in Peru, they are amazing, and we travel extensively and have used lots of Belmond before world wide but the service level here in Peru is just exceptional.

Visited for 3 nights after stay at Miraflores & Rio Sagrado. All properties have their own flair. Palacio Nazarenes had central location near main plaza. Easy walk to restaurants & shopping. Breakfast was always very delicious with a variety of fresh breads & fruits. Room well appointed with 4 poster bed, nice Illy expresso machine, complimentary minibar & nice bath products. Inquire about 24 hr butler service button on phone. Didn't find out till 2nd day in. Will continue to book Belmond properties.

In a quiet plaza, once a palace and convent, the hotel was brilliantly restored and features wonderful a wonderful courtyard and fountain. Great pool and outstanding restaurant with contemporary Peruvian food (Executive Chef Virgilio Martinez of Lima's Central fame, but this restaurant is better, I think). I want the amazingly lovely, soft rug that was in our large room, oxygen enriched!
