I want to start by saying that we love Hotel ZaZa. When we arrived our reservation had been lost, unfortunately. They were also sold out due to Dallas Mini Market taking place. We were only able to stay one night and had to find additional lodging for our 2nd and 3rd nights. The service we received while staying was wonderful and we will stay again.

Upon arrival we were pleased and we were assisted very well with bags, checkin ect. Rooms large and bed very comfortable! Well stocked and nice balcony overlooking the pool but the room is very dark! We were let down when we went to have breakfast the next morning and the restaurant is closed as they have a big conference on, we weren't told on checking in! So back to the room and order room service and wait 40 mins for it! Same the next day!! A letter under the door perhaps or advise your guests upon checkin. What spoiled it the most was on the day of check out we were woken at 8am with housekeeping banging on the door asking us when we are checking out, tell them not yet as checkout is 12! Not only do they keep knocking but over the next hour 3 separate knocks with the same question! When brought up at checkout we were told "we are at maximum capacity, we need to clean some rooms early" not good enough! We paid high dollar for the room we are entitled to our normal checkout time with no interruption.

I've been to ZaZa several times for special occasions, and just love the unique themed rooms. The restaurant is usually busy, so you will want to make reservations. It is nice to just hang out at the pool and watch the fun start to happen around you. The staff spoil you as soon as you arrive. Go ahead and book a massage for in your room, you won't regret it.

My wife and I came here for a night in one of the Bungalows that included a private dinner in our room. We were greeted upon arrival by Assistant Banquet Manager Andrew Holder. He had every detail lined out perfectly. For dinner, Executive Chef Dan Landsberg and Sous Chef Andrew did not disappoint. Amazing appetizers and a glass of bubbly to start the evening. So as not to ramble too much about the perfectly cooked and beautifully plated five courses that followed, check out the pictures… dry aged beef lardo, New Zealand lamb chops with white bean hummus, heirloom tomatoes and buffalo mozzarella with pork belly, (“BLT” Caprese) Wagyu with goat cheese and Pubudu blue corn grits and we finished the meal with a decadent but airy chocolate mudslide cake. All were fantastic. My personal favorites were the lamb chops and the BLT Caprese. To top it off, each course was expertly paired with exceptional wines personally selected by Hotel Manager Alex Aland. Big thanks as well to Susanna that made sure that our glasses were never empty. Many thanks to Dan and Alex for making this package available through the March of Dimes Signature Chefs event. Regarding our Bungalow, it was incredible. Two story, two bedrooms, two and a half bath, full kitchen… comfortably furnished and eclectically decorated. Later that evening, the food and wine coma took over and we slept like babies. The next morning, after hitting the snooze button 11 times, we asked for late checkout and got it. As we were checking out and finally walking out the door, we ran into Andrew again and he suggested that we give Dragonfly a try for lunch before heading out. We figured, what the heck. Dinner the night before was incredible, so let’s see what the restaurant menu looks like. Enter bartender Juan. After setting up our first round, he went over the menu and made some fantastic recommendations. We started with the House Made Pimento Cheese, shared the Siu Mai Burger Bites that Chef Dan sent out and split the ZaZa Burger. Everything, as with the night before, was excellent. Each plate had accompaniments that perfectly complemented each dish. Much time passes with Juan… then he suggests, “Why don’t you just stay another night?” It didn’t take us long to get to the front desk and get a room booked. Shortly thereafter we were on our way to ZaSpa where we booked a couple’s massage. Many thanks to Spa Coordinator Leslie for getting us hooked up and many more thanks for the magic hands of Therapists Shari and Nikki. I was snoring in less than 5 minutes. Job well done. A round of tater tots for all of them. After a short breather, we were back to the lounge where Juan turned us over to the more than capable hands of Jessica, Maddie and Laura. The bartender trio (Thunder, Lightning and Partly Cloudy) worked beautifully together, anticipating our needs and making great suggestions from their cocktail menu and extensive wine by the glass selection. They were engaging and adorable with just the right amount of wit/sarcasm to keep us entertained and on our toes. Ever present throughout the day was Alex, checking in to make sure that everything was just right and asking if there was anything that he could do. Huge props to Alex and his entire ZaZa team. Standing ovation to Chef Dan and the Dragonfly staff for every bite that crossed our lips. We know where we’ll be going for our next staycation, and this time we’ll pack for two nights.

Our room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast room was pleasant and the menu was well stocked with many options. The hotel is fairly central but not downtown. The taxi has a free limo service and Uber works great in DFW. There are other hotels nearby so if you are unhappy you can always change..... I also appreciated the complimentary naturally flavoured water by the lifts.
