I’ve only been here a few days and I must admit my initial impressions were not great. Arrived later evening and struggled to find my room. The numbering takes a bit of guess work but I didn’t think to ask for help and none was offered. It’s not a huge deal for a smallish hotel. The decor is fun though I found the rooms to be a bit too dark. As they’ve apparent recently remodeled this is a look they are going for. Dark sort of Art Deco disco. It could be a thing! The beds are awesome and the rooms well sized. Again darkish with heavy drapes covering entire walls with some windows underneath. BUT! 99% of the humans I interacted with were really good. Upbeat, doing all they could. Breakfast food is exceptional, room service eeks! You have to leave your room to get your caffeine fix so for me this isn’t ideal. Romantic weekend or just fun vibe yes. Not so much for business. Still better than the Stoneleigh where it feels like you are taken for granted. Not here. They really make every effort within their means. Worth coming back if you’re in uptown Fitness center is pretty good and they have an array of spa services too. Great art on the walls. Generally a good visual experience.

Former Rosewood Crescent Court diehard but finally gave Zaza a try on last business trip. I'm glad I gave it a try and have since made the switch on a return visit last week. Spa service was awesome. The property itself is well kept and staff are very attentive and friendly. I was told i was upgraded to a suite and when I opened the door I felt like I had just fallen off a Safari Jeep at midnight. Room was way too dark and while hip a few years back, didn't enjoy a dead wildebeest on the wall staring back at me. Visited a colleauge's room back in the cottage area and rooms were nice there but away from the hotel for breakfast. Good central location to all the bars on Mckinney. Def will stay again for the spa services.

I would never normally start a review with the bad stuff, but this is worthy. We stayed there 9 days ago. After checking out, we realized we were overcharged $158. You'd think this would be a simple fix, but no. 5 phone calls, 5 times explained and even though they figured out that they let someone charge to our room who's name does not match, still no refund. First of all, how do they allow someone to charge to a room when the name does not match?? That is hospitality 101. And at that, it took them 2 phone calls to figure that out. And I might add that one of those phone calls was met with a "we're too busy checking people out right now to help you". Really. That's customer service 101. ZaZa, you really need to work on your customer facing skill set. So all that and 9 days later and still no refund to credit card. This was going to be our new favorite place to stay in Dallas. Not anymore. We live in Tyler and get to the "city" every couple weeks for an overnight. We are always trying new places and this was at the top of our list. Oh, and it was my birthday, so that kind of soured it a little more. The hotel is fabulous. Great art everywhere. Helpful concierge. Free local transport. Comfortable rooms. Great bedding. Fabulous bar. But oy vey, the people! How can you offer world class service up front and third world in the back? I just do not get it. I suppose if you have a stay that does not involve a billing issue that has taken a laughably long time to resolve, it would be a great place. But first impressions count and ZaZa, you let us down.

We've always wanted to stay here. An attempt years ago fell through, we my wife became ill. This is a classy place, with odd decor--most typically images of people from around the world, though an excess of models and movie stars, sometimes in various states of undress. This tells you their view of the good life. Excess, indulgence, etc. Room was very quiet. Valet service was excellent. A few bothersome problems: one morning, about 7:00, I was in the dining room drinking coffee, when someone at the bar decided it was time to rev up his power drill and drill the concrete wall. I am not kidding. No places to sit quietly and read (esp at a table); the TV is on in the bar, etc. Again, this may indicate their view of the good life. It may not be mine.

We stayed in this hotel for a night for my birthday! We live in Dallas but wanted to stay in hotel for my birthday night! From the beginning as soon as we walked in we got treated greatly! Our suite was gorgeous, bed and sheet unbelievable comfortable and soft. We had dinner in Dragonfly which was good! Used spa for couple massage which was another great experience. To summarize it, the customer service is great here! Everyone has great attitude... We will be back and it will be for my husband birthday this time. Thank you for making my birthday special.
